Not much to talk about, you pretty much got everything I understood - Spirit Tortoise sounds like a failsafe in case the Heros can't stop the waves -> better kill 80% & power the Tortoise with their lifeforce than letting the waves kill 100%. Maybe they want to detonate the castle once the Tortoise walks by & bury it under the rubble or something. So far it's a lot of exposition with the Tortoise, the broken Seal, the Vassal Weapons etc., noone except Naofomi getting shit done again...maybe they do something interesting with it from Episode 3 onward, after getting everything set up

I subscribed to your Patreon after seeing some of your season 1 Re:Zero reactions on YouTube. It's funny to me that you don't like Shield Hero because for me it's one of the higher quality isekai series out there. Not on Re: Zero's level but still good. There are so many bland and boring isekai series these days that barely develop their world or their characters so I always appreciate series that have a bit more depth to them.
