When I was a kid I didn't play video games or watch much TV. I wasn't that into sports either. My main activity was reading. I've picked up most of the words I know through reading and I don't usually know their precise dictionary definition. There are some words that I've read or heard so many times that I thought just about everyone knew them. So it catches me off guard when someone doesn't know one of those words. In this case the word "seditious" or "sedition" surprised me that you had never heard before. It's a word that I often see used along with "treason". My understanding of "sedition" is that is' basically speaking out against a government in some form. The supposed crime being that doing so undermines the legitimate authority of that government. If a Russian citizen posted on Facebook that Russia's invasion of Ukraine was wrong that would be sedition against Putin and the government of Russia. Under more authoritarian regimes/governments sedition is usually a criminal offence of some kind. Based on some quick research in more democratic countries where a certain level of free speech is valued sedition is still a criminal offence but it seems to be rarely enforced. Countries like the US, the UK and Australia all have sedition laws but you don't usually hear about one of their citizens being locked up or arrested for criticizing the government.

In the US is more than just speaking out. In fact there is an ongoing case of Sedition right now. 11 persons indicted. 1 pleaded guilty and 10 not-guilty. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/leader-oath-keepers-and-10-other-individuals-indicted-federal-court-seditious-conspiracy-and "An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law." "The seditious conspiracy indictment alleges that, following the Nov. 3, 2020, presidential election, Rhodes conspired with his co-defendants and others to oppose by force the execution of the laws governing the transfer of presidential power by Jan. 20, 2021. Beginning in late December 2020, via encrypted and private communications applications, Rhodes and various co-conspirators coordinated and planned to travel to Washington, D.C., on or around Jan. 6, 2021, the date of the certification of the electoral college vote, the indictment alleges. Rhodes and several co-conspirators made plans to bring weapons to the area to support the operation. The co-conspirators then traveled across the country to the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area in early January 2021." "According to the seditious conspiracy indictment, the defendants conspired through a variety of manners and means, including: organizing into teams that were prepared and willing to use force and to transport firearms and ammunition into Washington, D.C.; recruiting members and affiliates to participate in the conspiracy; organizing trainings to teach and learn paramilitary combat tactics; bringing and contributing paramilitary gear, weapons and supplies – including knives, batons, camouflaged combat uniforms, tactical vests with plates, helmets, eye protection and radio equipment – to the Capitol grounds; breaching and attempting to take control of the Capitol grounds and building on Jan. 6, 2021, in an effort to prevent, hinder and delay the certification of the electoral college vote; using force against law enforcement officers while inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021; continuing to plot, after Jan. 6, 2021, to oppose by force the lawful transfer of presidential power, and using websites, social media, text messaging and encrypted messaging applications to communicate with co-conspirators and others." "The charge of seditious conspiracy carries a statutory maximum penalty of 20 years in prison."

3nd watching of the reaction so I can comment 😋 First impression. After watching it on my own and watching the reaction once yesterday. This looks like a fun anime but with a lot of deep family relationships that will develop. I’m glad it’s not just all silly but fun anyway. It’s going to be a blast. First we establish that in this anime they can wear a disguise indistinguishable from the real person. Impressive. Even more impressive is later when they kidnap Anya. He did whip out a disguise while being captured. So it seems he can make a mask on the spot that is good enough to fool people. The scene where he broke up with his “girlfriend” and discarded his identity shows that he uses people as tools. He seems to have gotten rid of all his emotions and aspirations for normal happiness and relationship. It explains a lot of his behavior with Anya. I can’t wait to see Anya chip away at the wall he built around himself. It’s going to be so sweet. I’m an anime only so I don’t know the rest but for sure that is where they are going. I think you are right he had so many identities and is fully committed to his spy job that he ever uses his real name. Always on a mission, always with a fake identity. It’s weird that the spy agency didn’t provide him with a family but I guess the way they are doing it is better for the plot and how his relationship will develop with Anya. With an assigned family it would change the dynamics if they are upfront that they are on a mission. I raise my glass to unsung heroes. It’s not just spies but everyday people that make other lives better. Sometime it’s not even much but can make a world of difference They skim through the crossword but I think twilight did the whole thing in his mind. We see that she doesn’t like to study and get all the answers from others. Anya is so cute 🥰. When Twilight thought about the holding hand might leave him more vulnerable to enemy Anya was so scared of the enemy. Then when he thought about knowing her better she told him she likes peanuts and dislike carrots. 🥰 It’s sad but that's how Twilight lives his whole adult life using people as tools and not getting any attachment. That the only thing he knows 😔 Her playing with the spy gear. 🥺 Well at least we get this out in the first episode so she’ll know not to play with spy gear anymore. I feel for Anya. She has always been used first by the scientist now by the spy. But we see that he starts to care a bit for her at the end of the episode. It will take time. He's not used to caring for anybody. They have some good action scenes. 👍 When Anya reunited with Twilight after the kidnaping 🥰 Slowly he came to care for her. It’s good that at the test she did study and remember what Twilight taught her. Everyone else was so lost so she couldn't rely on others for answers. So she did it on her own without relying on her power. Well she did have the question and answer before hand but still, good for her. I love how happy Twilight was when Anya passed. I think it’s more than the mission this time. He is usually so stoic. Then he just collapse afterward 😋 Anya and Twilight on the couch 🥰 After Episode. I think Twilight never had a real relationship. It's all a pretended part of his mission. I may be wrong and he maybe did have some between his childhood and becoming a spy but I think he lost everyone in the flashback and was taken care of by the government and became a spy when he was old enough. It's all speculation on my part. So he knows how to pretend to have a relationship but a real one. That's what will be good in this anime. The flashback look like war. Can’t wait to see more. Take Care. 😋

Well, that's the sad thing, Twilight uses others as tools, knowing that he himself is also just a tool, for the sake of his country's peace. The moment he fails his own country will abandon him like trash. You're right the flashback is war. Twilight lost everything from war, and now chose to participate in it, it's the cycle of violence like we always talked about in Aot
