okay she won me over.

I think the only 7 and under thing is because she can only fit so many people on the boat. Doubt it was a simple choice just the one they could make at the time. Since they had shown that he had been making escape plans maybe she knew there were around 700 kids 7 and under

the sentence before the 7 and under line gave a limit to how many ppl... thats why

I don’t think she should have done that. She could always make multiple trips back and forth to allow other innocent children or even adults leave. She didn’t even have to go back. Just send ships.

Tonari was drugged. That's why he was so surprised that she woke up after 5 minutes, when everyone else is usually out for 2 hours.

Fushi was pretty clear that he didn't want to kill anyone, not even the cannibal freak that fought him in Round 2. Tonari was glad to see that even Fushi had some things that he couldn't accept and that he was willing to even kill Hayase after he realized that she killed Parona.

Another good reaction. I knew we would have a good one after I saw the episode. I'm still not sold on Tonari. She is getting there because the show writes her as a protagonist but... The 7 under thing I had to look back and Tonari was 7 when her dad was accused of murder and got send to the island. So maybe it has something to do. However, it is still a bad decision. I don't know how many kids but let's say it fills the 700 spots on the ship. What childrens, 7 and under, are going to do when they reach the mainland? They can't work. They can't build a village/farm. An orphanage will take 700 children in? Or the Yanome army? Or a random gang that’s going to exploit them. You need adults that can fend for themselves. You're just sending 700 helpless kids to a foreign land without parents. OK maybe a few adults like the other guy but not enough to take care of 700 children. Totally unrelated but I'm still having PTSD (not seriously j/k) with Promise Neverland S2 ending so maybe it will be all dandy, rainbow and sunshine for the kids when they go to the mainland. Year right. And Hayase, I'm thinking she is batshit crazy and had some weird plan that only helps herself and not any of her people. She clearly lost it but I could be wrong.

If I had to guess with the 7 yrs old thing it might be because in certain cultures (ancient greece for example) 7-14 is the 2nd stage of life, kind of like their version of a teenager. In Sparta 7 yrs old was when they were taken to train as well Edit: Rewatched ep 16 and tonari read in a book that “a person’s fate rests in the hands of god until they turn 7 years old”
