You probably saw gon sitting in that pose in either the op or the ending theme. I think one of them shows him sitting like that.

Diego Zenhäusern

Uff, what an ending! Seeing Pitou afraid was probably as disturbing to me as seeing Gon that furious😮 And I didn't even realize Killua's Grandpa let Netero go alone with Meruem. Tbh I think that was just dumb, they barely stood a chance 2 on 1 how is he supposed to win on his own 🙈? Also: I'm not bothered by them showing the other fights but them just replaying the same scene multiple times really starts to annoy me 🤔😅

Samir Larras

Zeno is still an assassin first and foremost. Netero hired him to separate Meruem from the royal guard, so they could have a one on one fight. He was never there to fight.

Samir Larras

Up until they moment Gon and Killua got to Pitou I kept asking myself "How are these kids thinking they can win?" I have to say the way it was handled was pretty good, putting Pitou in a position where they can't fight back for their own reasons was a good decision. Let's be honest, neither Gon nor Killua have shown they're anywhere near Pitou's level.

Diego Zenhäusern

Yeah, it's really impressive that the writters managed to put Pitou in a situation where they're actually afraid of the two of them🤔😮

Unfortunately this arc has many slow episodes and this is why the pacing of this arc is so horrible but episodes like this are worthy all the wait, some people maybe don't like it because they prefer action episodes but it can't be denayed that for the aspect of feeling the characters emotions this episode does a glorious job. I can't wait for you to see the fight between Netero and the King. It will blow your mind! Unfortunately episode 126 is still far away and you will have to go through many slow and annoying parts...

Christian

I agree that on your first watch the pacing in these episodes feels really slow. Because you just want to see what’s gonna happen with gon/killua/netero. But something about rewatching these without any sense of urgency makes me care for the whole arc a lot more

RJIA

I'm glad I'm not the only person who didn't like the pacing, long intro recaps, and strange narrator tangents in this arc. This is where I almost stopped watching the first time, and mostly kept going because I was watching with friends. I'm glad I did, but I was really confused how it got so slow when it wasn't like this earlier in the series.

Jeremy

Oh! The reason we panned to the door after Gon like that is to show that Killua did leave.

Cyr

Yea was kinda awful to see Gon talk to Killua like that, The amount of times Killua has saved his life and had his best interest at heart Im sure really hurts. Even if Gon is closer to Kite, Killua still felt responsible, still blamed himself, not just for the hell Kites been through, but the effects of it as well. His best friend is currently going through a hell because of that situation, you see your friends hurt, pain, frustration, and darkness, and not knowing how to help a situation you feel you helped cause is awful...Yes Killua is calm...in the Phantom Troupe Arc you said that was his job, to remain calm, because if not everyones gonna die...

I think what Zeno wanted to say was explaining what happened, and the fact that Komugi got hurt. I do understand not finding the other fights as interesting, but they have to show them for clarity’s sake, so I do get it. The reason the truth behind what Pitou was doing would anger Gon is because someone who hurt his friend is now saving someone. It’s basically an insult to Gon and what she did to Kite. Now, for the coming episodes, I would highly recommend you watch episodes 130 and 131 back to back. Great reaction as always.

yo kel!

I’ll be honest I was expecting at least a few tears 😅

Killua X

Also, can we just start planting the seed for triple EPS 129, 130, 131 pls? thanks. And AP sorry for being mia lately, still luv u <3.

Killua X

btw, that "pose" that you think you've seen before is my PFP lmao, it's iconic.

TheBagSenpai

MHA and most modern shounens has like 1-2 min intro recaps practically every episode. And those are seasonal shows. HxH came out weekly, with no long breaks. Give the 2011 staff a break.

TheBagSenpai

We watched this show airing weekly years back. If we're being honest, we're the only ones who have the right to complain about the "pacing." If you're binging this series, you don't really know what that pain felt like. But all in all, there's no real "pacing issue." It's an overall presentation issue. I'm of the opinion that this series wasn't adapted anywhere near its potential. Some parts felt slow because 1, the 2011 staff just didn't do much with it in terms of artistic choice, the director himself wasn't that talented if I were to be blunt, and 2, it's simply very emotionally uninvesting when juxtaposed with the other storylines happening at the same time. That's why those parts feel tedious, when really, they're either important to the story, or interesting in of themselves, but just wasn't presented well enough for the audience to really gravitate to.

Dany DLTV

The pacing can be a bit slow. Want to watch episode 111 to 114. 4X23 minutes if it were to happen in real time that's a 3 minutes video 😋 https://youtu.be/MjiHClo2rmc?t=33

MaxVSTheGames

I'll be honest, this is the moment I stopped liking Gon when I first watch the anime. I can't really explain why, but I just never liked him after that moment. I often see people being so hype about that scene, but it completely ruined him for me. (He wasn't exactly my favorite to begin win anyway).

TheBagSenpai

Lol. I suggest you really dig deep in your own psyche and examine that feeling. Because this is when his character shines the most. This is when all his nuance are in full color.

Dillon Hansel

HEY GUYS, READY TO WATCH A 13 YEAR OLD HAVE THE MIST INTENSE MENTAL BREAKDOWN IN HISTORY?! I AM!!! Fuck, do I love the writing for this shit.

Christopher Rivera

What Gon said Killua was very relatable for me. When I was younger I heard the same thing from my brother who couldn’t process his emotions when we lost someone. I didn’t really take it personally since I know I seemed aloof and he wears his heart on his sleeve. It’s also similar in that I was the older brother and Killua is the more mature one of these two boys. Both are about 13 in this scene but Gon has never had to control his emotions whereas Killua learned to do so as any complaints over his (abusive) training were likely ignored by his family. It’s great how much of their behavior can be related to their backgrounds (nature vs nurture; freedom vs control — similar to their father’s parenting styles = Ging is absent, Silva is controlling).

These eps were great, glad ur enjoying this arc so far😃
