Loved the reaction! There’s a re zero event on June 20, like a major one so s3 should be announced at that time we’re guessing. Also to answer your questions: The original roswaal in the flash back from 400 years ago was called “Roswaal A. Mathers”, in the last episode we saw a glimpse of “roswaal b. Mathers” when we were seeing Beatrice back story. The current roswaal today is roswaal L mathers. So basically, roswaal keeps transferring his soul into his kids which is very inhumane and fucked up. He learned this from reading echidna’s books. Echidna was trying to do the same thing but because she didn’t have any kids, she started making clones of ryuzu and wanted to transfer her soul into their bodies but that failed because she ended up dying to the witch of the envy according to what we learned earlier this season. Also the reason why echidna’s face was hidden in the flash backs were indeed the vary reason that the echidna that roswaal and Beatrice knew apparently seems to be different than the echidna that has been appearing in that dream world. We don’t know why yet, the author just mentioned they’re very different but he doesn’t wanna spoil us. If I had to guess - maybe echidna and the witch of greed are seperate personalities. The echidna in the flash back seemed very nice and the one in the dream world subaru met was “greedy” so that could be it lol. Petelgeuse also looked different after taking the sloth factor cuz the petelgeuse Subaru saw is a lot different than the one from hundreds of years ago. Hopefully that helps, if you have any other questions I can definitely help.

regarding the soul transfer, as far as I understood his whole talk about needing a vessel with "high affinity", I understood it that Roswall could transfer his soul to his kids because they were closely (blood) related, so they had a stronger connection than e.g. Echidna & some clones of a person with no relation at all, which is why it didn't work for Echidna (as Beatrice mentioned that it failed).

Puck is such a troll, letting Emilia believe that's how babies are made at her age XD and now he isn't even around so someone else will have to step in...maybe he just doesn't want to come out now? :P That episode really was a nice conclusion (even if I don't trust happy endings in ReZero ^^'), great seeing you so excited & happy about it :3 The curse on Roswaal preventing him from harming anyone is great, but again Subaru started their bet with no idea how serious the consequences are...but with him I guess it works better if he doesn't know anyway^^

Whoops. Didn't see this last week. So I'll fill you in on this and that, even if it's late: 1) The reason the rabbits started to eat themselves was that the darkness spell cast on them deprived them of all their senses making them feel despair. It made it so that they disregarded any goals they had and eat the closest thing to them; each other. So they were trapped in a loop; Hunger --> Despair --> Rebirth 2) Correct! He was transferring his soul via descendants, which is pretty compatible, but the one constant was his blue eye. 3) It wasn't shown, but naturally, Frederica and even the dragon steed got their punches in for Roswaaled. And they did not hold back either. 4) "Scary" is an understatement for the Oath. If Roswaal, or Subaru if he lost, did not fufill their promises, their soul would be lost in the void. I doubt Return by Death could have saved Subaru from that. 5) They failed to explain that Beatrice is an artificial spirit. So what does that mean, especially for Subaru? Well A) Think of this in pokemon terms. You have 6 in a team, right? Well, Beatrice takes up all slots. So no other spirit contracts for Subaru. And B) She has a mana limit. That amazing display of magic? It was all her mana she stored up in the 400 years she was around. Now Subaru needed to use up any mana he has left just to keep her corporeal 6) Correct again! That little "burn everything to ash" bit Roswaal mentioned to Subaru? It was him saying that if Subaru lost even one person, Roswaal would force him to restart. I mean, Subaru was doing this anyways, but now he is being forced into such a mindset. Flawless victory, or lose everything and everyone. And I think that's about it. This will be the Spoiler-ish comment. Meaning these are elements that might be shown later on that the anime adaptation left out in S2, but might be used for some kind of shock value in later things for S3. So even if these are spoiler-ish, I'll try to keep it as vague as possible and put them in [] below; [1) Only one person was contracted by Roswaal to attack the mansion] [2) They do explain what happens to Shima, the banished clone that disappeared with the crystal... but you aren't going to like the results. You actually picked it up in the last episode. EVEN I DIDN'T NOTICE until you said it!] Hope that was vague enough for you to at least enjoy these tiny teasers.
