Hey guys. I need advice on a platform to upload videos. (Patreon)

Which platform or storage site do you guys suggest? I know not everyone likes google drive or mega so is there another good alternative other than Vimeo? I would prefer one without bandwidth limits because Vimeo had one and they tried charging me $9,000 a year to continue upoaksimg videos to their site. 😵‍💫😵 If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. ❤️

I like GD best . I also like Streamable easiest to just watch on Streamable. Mega as a last resort. I don't know much else. Some use Dailymotion it's ok I guess. Nothing special. I think it's a good idea to have multiple storage to spread the bandwidth around. I know it's more work and expense but may be worth it.

I never had problems with Google Drive, aside from the fact that they are sometimes in a really low quality.

I know alot of other reactors I've supported have moved from Vimeo to soething called Streamable. Personally, I'm not a fan of streamable's video player but I know alot of reactors have moved to it.

Theres a way to use VLC Media player to crunch filesizes with minimal quality loss. It requires some tweaking and testing, but its very worth the time spent figuring it out. Im sure they would hassle you much less if your filesizes were smaller. As for other sites to host your content, everything is pretty much the same, after a while they come after you wanting money.

proton vpn usually solves my mega drive limit problem however sometimes the servers are already used and in cool down so i still have to wait to watch the reaction. Google drive never failed me and works fine all the time

Streamable is a pretty good site, try it. Many reactors use it

I think mega works pretty well tbh. Is the issue that people are downloading it each time? I just click the Title and it will play right from the browser.

Tbh Google drive has been perfect, Mega has been horrible.

Dailymotion or Streamable are great choices. I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem, but MEGA doesn’t allow me to watch videos due to apparently reaching the download limit, so I miss a lot of your videos

As much as a hate Mega I think it's only an issue if you watch multiple episode. Binge watch older reaction or if you have multiple reactor that come at the same time. That why some reactor start with Mega to take the bulk of the bandwidth at release then offer an alternative GD or else for people that watch older reaction. That mostly what you do but there will be always people that get caught with limit so that where the complaint come from. But by systematically offer an alternative it might be a ok.

An other point GD low quality is only a factor if you watch online. They take their sweet time to make the HQ available for streaming so I always download. I think with very large reactor GD has some limit when you can no longer download and have to wait It happen only than a handful of time for me. An other reason to spread the bandwidth to multiple option.

I personally like streamable and another reactor i follow on patreon uses it, (Someone who uploads about 10-15 (1 hour) vids per week). Therefore i don't think it has a bandwidth limit. As a side note, that person also always puts a password on the vids for this platform and posts it together on the partreon posts. This may or may not be relevant/important for this platform.
