Yeah... I actually got confused by that at first with Pandora. I don't think it's a spoiler. I think they meant it to be clear, but I was confused and so were a lot of other people. When the episode came out a bunch of people missed that Pandora was actually her name and thought it was Echidna because they both have those weird fuzzy eyelashes.

Just for clarification, Ryuzu's memories are set 400 years prior to present day, when the witches were alive. Emilia's trial is set 100 years prior to present day. This was a small cut from the source material, although Geuse does allude to it last episode (17) when he states that Fortuna's kind words would "carry him through a hundred years of turmoil". This obviously raises a bunch of questions about the state of the world and what happened between these time periods.
