Also, I just watched that first episode.... wow... didnt expect to have a hyperventilating ugly cry like that, I still feel it in my chest.... I Had a question for you. If you enjoy these heavy emotional type shows, have you watched or considered "Violet Evergarden"? If not, I recommend it wholeheartedly. Everything from the voice acting, to the animation, and story is 10/10, and I like to think of myself as a fairly harsh critic of that genre of anime. Its worth a peek if you havent!

Did I miss something? We're just assuming the one who sent the orb to Earth is God, right? Or was it mentioned in the anime. As far as we know it's just some otherwordly being right? Like it could just be some being from another planet or dimension? Like an alien.

I don't believe it was mentioned but just a logical assumption because God is always referred to "the creator of all things" but I think an alien/otherworldly being could also be a possibility. I read the manga and I believe they say it in there what the narrator is but I truly can't remember because this was years ago.

It seems like the "god" they're sacrificing to is the bear from March's dream and its name. I think we were supposed to see that, but the subtitles could have had a bit of info there probably. It's called "Oniguma" which is just "oni" (demon) and "kuma" (bear) put together.
