YAYYYYY!!! Well not yay because seeing you cry made me cry LMAO and I don't exactly like seeing people cry either in general... But I'm glad you reacted to it!!! I read the manga ages ago so I don't know if this theory is correct but I think eventually Joaan (the real one) went in search for the other villagers because it was taking years and saw the wreckage and tried to make it back to the boy to convey that they didn't make it but died halfway due to his injury. Hence, why I think that is was because the boy was relieved to see him again after two months of leaving. On another note, you can look at Joaan's death in a positive somber light because that enabled the new Joaan to make it back to the boy so he didn't have to live alone. The boy also died with his best friend at his side in the end too so he wasn't completely alone. Very sad first episode but I'm looking forward to you reacting to the rest of the series!!! You're in for a ride so buckle up haha. <3

Idk anything about this or even what genre it is but I checked out the episode a few hours ago when you uploaded this and I fuckin cried so I was like oh yeah she's gonna like this. This episode was written beautifully. I didn't think 25 min could introduce a character and make me care about him so much that it would hit me when he died but it did. This perspective of humanity and Earth from some higher being is also really intriguing. I'm glad you're reacting to this show :).

legs injuries, fish, snow, and orchestral music. Nothing is more painful than watching a character lose hope (Hisoka would have something to say about this).

She really is hypersensitive, and empathise like the real character, well i wonder how will she react in real life with many things like a heartbreaking or the death of a family member, that would be non stop tears. Nevertheless what i like of her is the analytical thinking over the facts of the anime, and her cuteness, still my crush :) XD

correct, and that is what happen most of the times in real life, when you realize that something you have tried many times to achieve is no longer a possibility, that's when frustration, hopeless feelings arise, in simple terms: depression, but there is a way to get out of that state of mind, focussing on a new goal, there is still a new day to come :)

This is sincerely one of the best reactions and honestly a first episode which made me think that this alone is wayy ahead many other animes in the industry. It's like those short stories that are so impactful to you, that stay with you until the end <3
