❤️❤️❤️ I’ve been waiting for your reaction all day

I hadn't even thought of the possibility of Zeke wanting to take over, since he's supposed to die so soon. You bringing that up has got me wondering if he has some planned successor already in place, or if he knows some way of avoiding the 13 year curse. It's getting me worried that no one ever questioned that titan-shifters actually die after 13 years, even though we haven't seen it happen yet and Marley always forces their warriors to pass their abilities on. I was really wanting to think that Zeke was just looking for redemption out of guilt over turning his parents in, before he was really old enough to understand their situation. Looking back, though, he was willing to slaughter Eldians in Paradis without hesitation just months before he started helping them prepare to fight Marley. He could have held back and Reiner and Bertholdt wouldn't have known any better, but he didn't. I almost feel silly forgetting about that and thinking he might really be on their side now. It seems like all he really cares about is making sure he gets the Founding Titan's power.

All great points. You brought up things I didn’t even think about. Why would he all of a sudden care about the eldians here? You’re right. It all seems like he just wants to have total control. Maybe Eren knows this though. Maybe he’s just trying to let Zeke think he is manipulating him and has his own set of plans? Maybe that’s why he didn’t want to say anything to Armin and Mikasa. He may not have wanted to get them involved because he didn’t want them to get into trouble or maybe he knows his plan will result in his death and he knows they would try to stop him.

My hope is Eren is playing 4D galactic chess and Zeke is playing checkers. But we will see.

The rise of the Jaegerist! I cannot recognize Eren anymore. This man is now capable of orchestrating a coup d'etat, blowing the president of his country into pieces, while taking half of survey corps with him and starting his own faction. in the manga they showed Eren's prison break, how he smashed it open then closing it up with War Hammer Titan's hardening at ease Give Eren some credit here I'm almost certain he's not being manipulated by Zeke, if anything I think it may even be the other way around judging from how he's been acting this season and let's not forget he's holding founding+attack+war hammer titan. I've felt nothing but an aura of menace reeking out of this man like a unstoppable beast who can't be controlled by anyone, including Zeke. But then again I could be very wrong I’m not that far ahead in the manga

I don’t know about others but I believe in Lady Kiyomi. Sure she’s here to get resources that benefit her country, but she’s also here to protect the last descendent of their country’s ruler; those two reason does not contradict. It’s natural for people to have their own interests in mind, it’s politics not a charity after all. In fact, if she risked all that just to be nice I’d think she’s either out of her mind or up to no good. If I were an Eldian I’d trust her even more knowing she only wants a piece of our resources and not up to anything sinister.

Nothing wrong with expecting payment for services, especially when you aren’t just an individual but a representative (Kiyomi is an ambassador) of a country whose people want their interests served in exchange for government office. I.e., the law of equivalent exchange.

Yeah, to be honest I also don't think Eren is being manipulated here...I think that is what the people who are close to him tell themselves to justify what he's done (and is still doing). To be honest I didn't get the vibe that Eren actually planed blowing up the president or orchestrated the coup (he had for instance no clear idea how many supporters he had) but was just ready to go and roled rolled with it , as soon as they started to act (though I would definitely also believe it, if they told us otherwise in the next episodes). One way or the other, I'd still agree with you, that his behaviour is highly concerning, if not outright threatening, beginning with the fact that he didn't show any emotions after hearing of Zachary's death.
