Killua X

Haven't finished yet, but I can't get over the rooftop scene and your reaction. At the beginning of that convo between Emma and Ray, I was thinking: damn, this sounds like Killua talking to Gon, but I didn't want to make the reference again (because I feel like every TPN episode all I hear is Killua when Ray talks). Then you said the exact shit I was thinking 😂. Even the inflections he makes on certain words, like the way he talks, it might as well be Killua lol. I love Ray's character, and Emma's too, and the similarities to Gon and Killua are undeniable--I feel like they make a great team and complement each other just like their HxH counterparts lol. Btw your hair like that makes you look like royalty 👸.

I agree 100%. Every time Ray would emphasize certain words or inflect on the endings it just screamed killua to me. It was just like Killua when he is yelling at Gon for doing something stupid or reckless. ☺️ even the way Emma reacted was similar to the way Gon would react. It was just too cute. Those voice actresses are the perfect pair. Also, thank you for the compliment on my hair!

To be honest I was a little surprised that none of the other children seemed to have any problems with Norman's plan🤔 I mean I get that they hate the demons....but Norman was basically talking about genocide while smiling....

Also: You were so suspicious of Norman tricking them at the beginning (which probably still is a valid option) that I actually expected Ray on the rooftop to bring up something like: "Isn't it strange that we were seeking for a way to beat the Demons and all of a sudden Norman finds this magic drug that can solve all our problems? And that he already has enough of it to carry out his plans or make at least a big scale test run? "

Emma: “This isn’t a meal... it’s revenge.” Norman fulfilling his role as Kurapika and developing into an avenger. I’m predicting internal conflict from putting his friends in danger for his genocidal revenge on demons for having been experimented on like a lab rat. I think all these kids showed a psychotic side at times, at least conveyed through facial expressions though Norman seemed to be the most emotionally detached/reserved. Doesn’t make him a psychopath, many people have psychopathic tendencies or subclinical (mild) traits that can be brought out in a certain environment or due to traumatic experience (the genocide of Kurapika’s clan, or Norman being a guinea pig). Technically, the demons treat their human livestock better than many farms treat their cows and chickens, who are crowded in cages. Emma and the others were given a very happy, healthy, and comfortable life for at least 12 years within a loving family. Not that we lack reasons to do what we do in the real world but also the world’s not set up for utopia... “In 1516 Sir Thomas More wrote the first 'Utopia'. He coined the word 'utopia' from the Greek ou-topos meaning 'no place' or 'nowhere'. But this was a pun - the almost identical Greek word eu-topos means a good place. So at the very heart of the word is a vital question: can a perfect world ever be realised?”

I had time to think about this episode and well Kudo to TPN this is a brilliant premise. So here my speculation/thought. First, there were wild Demons. They start eating humans. Became self-aware and more intelligent, then start to eat more and more humans to maintain their intellect. Then Human Demon War. Now how do you solve this? there is no easy answer. Neither party can just surrender and seek for peace. If you stop the war then what? Do you let the demons continue to eat humans? Or do you make the demons degenerate into beasts. They came up with a solution 1000 years ago let split the world and give the demons some humans to farm and leave each other alone. What are the alternatives? What Norman proposed is an alternative. Exterminate the intelligent demon and revert them to wilds one. Now how easy it would be for a handful of humans mostly still children to kill off the whole demon population. The demons are going to fight back. But then when you go down that path. The wild demons are dangerous if in a few years they start to eat humans and re-evolved. You need to keep them drugged. Now how to ensure they are all drugged. Let keep control of the demon population in enclaves maybe? Be sure they don't escape and live drug-free so in a few generations come back intelligent. Now they how about the human living on the other side. We, viewers, see Norman as sus what about them. Hey, we[Norman and cie] just commit massive genocide but we are actually friendly don’t mind the psychopathic tendency of most of our high-ranking staff they just have been tortured. Very trustworthy.

Another thing I personally thought about: Let's assume Emma somehow succeeds in freeing all humans and getting them back to the human world. Do we expect the demons to just sit there and do nothing? No, of course not! The contract has been broken (no human may leave the demon world), so they would most certainly go after them and a new war would break out...especially now that we know that they actually need the humans to stay sentient🤔
