well, no one can play the victim card now, this has just become a cycle of violence and hatred. What a tragedy, as much as I loved this episode I cannot find myself hyped for any of the scenes

scram

I felt exactly the same ,the whole situation is unfortunate . i mean i understand people that find this episode hype but some youtube reactors really out there thinking that the scouts killing innocent people Was Epic and ironic

That anger brewing in Gabi - they just created a new Eren. The more you watch this series, you more you realize it's neither Eldians nor Marleyans who are the villains. It's just human nature to perpetuate an endless, meaningless cycle of hatred and revenge long after the ones responsible for the conflict in the first place are gone. As long as the power of the Titans is in human hands, they will never stop oppressing each other.

Anonymous

Agreed. Except it has nothing to do with the power of the Titans, we don't have that in real life and we've comitted far worse atrocities as a whole species for thousands of years.

Yes one thing I like about the show too is the team work, and that nobody can solve anything on there own. The survey corps always needed Eren, and Eren always needed the survey corps. There has been no fight Eren won one is own. The story has been: Eren gets his ass kicked , Eren gets kidnapped, Eren gets his ass kicked, Eren gets kidnapped, Eren gets his ass kicked.

I just finished watching. You know what F* the haters. 🤗🤗🤗 For my part, I really enjoyed this reactions. It was fun to watch 👍 Not everybody react the same. Keep your reaction genuine whether is hype, excitement or otherwise. That why your my favorite reactors. Love 💕

That cycle is in the past now. Eren has grown from the hunted into the hunter, the victim to the perpetrator. He’s no longer the reckless hothead but kind hearted person we knew him to be, just a ruthless tragic character doing what he thinks he should do.

Haven't finished watching (I know I comment too much), but just wanted to say that I've watched reaction compilations to last episode and literally EVERYBODY gets hype AF when Eren transforms. I don't understand why these ppl targeted you...4'10" little you... lol (idk if I remembered that right). I just hate seeing you "justify" your own reaction. That's bs. Your reactions are the best out there IMO, just keep doing what you do and don't stress over those hoes.

I thought the episode was great but I hope they touch up the CGI a bit for the Blu Ray release. It just looks a bit less impressive and it will become more apparent over time for rewatches, i.e., it won’t age as well. But the anime did a great job with Gabi’s scenes and placing that Tybur family scene at the start of this episode before Eren eats him. I sympathized with and appreciated his character more as a result. The action scenes were, of course, great but I was just absolutely blown away when I experienced it in the manga. And I know it’s hard to pull off CGI in anime, especially due to the covid-related circumstances - we’re lucky it’s as good as it was - but that’s just how I felt about it, it doesn’t lessen my gratitude for MAPPA’s efforts one bit. Part of me thinks, or hopes, they’re just saving up some of the budget for following episodes.

Holy SHIT what a great episode and reaction!! I was literally bouncing around in my chair hype af like you were when Levi showed up and all that shit went down. Man, I'm gotta start watching the actual episode before reaction. I forgot how good the animation was in this anime. Also, I don't think Levi blew up the Jaw Titan's hand. I think Levi shot a thunderspear at the piece of wall that the Jaw Titan was reaching for right before he was able to grab it, which is like 50x COOLER! Btw I think you're gonna like Feitan (HxH; Levi was based off him kinda) too, but nowhere near as much as Levi, Levi's the GOAT. Also, that scene where the Jaw Titan was down and the crew was swarming in with all their ODM gear lookin like a giant spider web 👌; want it as my wallpaper now. And I think you hit it on the head with the parallels between Gabi and Eren. I'm probably the farthest from an AOT expert here and I don't read manga but I have a feeling that this show might end with us seeing history repeat itself. Like, the creator's expression of humanity's affinity for war and the inevitability of us fighting each other over and over again for all time. Though, remember the original Eren (or at least the first one we were introduced to) talking to Grisha on the wall and telling him that he had to do something different or else everything was going to just keep repeating (sorry, my memory is shit too). So maybe at the very end, something will change, there'll be some kind of understanding between them and Gabi may choose a different path 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I don't know if it's an anime only line but doesn't Porco know already that military of Paradis Island specialised in killing titans? Didn't Zeke tell them how Levi turned Beast Titan in to a hot steaming minced meat? Didn't Reiner tell them about the thunder spears? Didn't they know about the 3D Maneuver Gear? Didn't Zeke bring back the gear he took from Miche to Marley? That line was cool and all but it seemed off.

You don’t comment to much at all!! I I love your comments! (I love everyone else’s comments here as well ❤️) Don’t stop! ❤️😘🥰😁

They knew how strong the Ackermans are as they are aware their bloodline served King Fritz as a clan of warriors. I’m guessing Porco just didn’t realise every Eldian soldier is capable of taking down Titans.

Such an awesome episode 😭

This is showing greatly how fuckedup war actually is. Usually both sides are wrong and you can somewhat understand them but still not agree with it. Hard to choose sides when innocent people are the ones that get hurt.

Sascha

So I'm pretty sure that this confirms that Eren did this totally on his own (with local allies or fellow rebels against the Paradis government) without the military's permission so he's definitely going to be arrested for being a terrorist and rebel against the Paradis government

To be honest I’d rather let them have more time to work on this, or wait for Wit Studio to be available. I honestly don’t need it this quickly if quality can be assured.

At this point of the show I'd agree with you that I'd side with the cause of the Islanders if I were pressured to pick sides. However, I'd like to bring something up that you didn't really consider in the episode: We don’t know for sure whether Eren wouldn’t have attacked even if Willy hadn’t declared war. I mean we can assume it or hope for it, but we can’t really know it. For all we know, Eren could have taken it for a trap to try to lure them into a false sense of security and then crush them (which admittedly would have been a likely option if the Marleyans had had any say in it) or he could just have been to invested in his plan/ have made to many preparations to be ready to just give it up….or he could have been completely prepared to abandon his plan if Willy had acted differently, just as you assumed. So while at this point I’d side with you in hoping that Eren wouldn’t have attacked if Willy hadn’t declared war, there is no real reason to tell whether this is true or not and likely there never will be a clear answer. This also means that I really don’t blame you for not considering this, as depending on how you interpret the situation/ Eren’s character at this point in the story, there is no way you’d even consider this option. It’s the same with Willy Tybur at this point: We can’t really know whether Willy actually feared an attack from Paradise Island or whether it was a completely calculated decision (though in the end it was probably a combination of both and the question is more which reason was more important to him). To me, for instance, it really felt more like he wasn’t actually that afraid of an attack but had decided that probably the most realistic way to save at least the Eldians in Marley would be to make the “Island Devils” the clear enemy of the world and the “normal Eldians” just other victims and thereby stir the worlds sympathy for the “normal Eldians”, so they would maybe side with them once the “Devils” were defeated. But of course, that’s only my personal interpretation and, as I said, there is no way of knowing and the future will probably bring only additional evidence to support one interpretation over the other, but likely never a clear answer.

Eren definitely was going to attack no matter what. He took such a massive risk coming all the way here to the enemy's home, launched this comprehensive surprise attack with his comrades he's been in contact with backing him up with perfect timing, had a counter move for every move their opponent made, being this prepared this man wasn't just gonna walk away if they didn't declare war. As for Willy, I doubt it matters to him whether the island Eldians will use the Rumbling or not, the point is that they can if they want to, the threat against the country he rules and the world will forever exist in his point of view.

Regarding why Marley decided to attack Paradise island, FYI, i havent finish watching this reaction yet so it may has been adress in the review part or in the comment but i probably forgot i wrote this comment by then. Didnt Marley invite the other nation to attack paradise island as a distraction as Marley need time to develop their armament as they have been depended on titan too much and now that the other nation has anti titan weaponry and the fact that the rest of the world hates Marley alot, The whole "instead of attacking me how about you guys attack that guy instead" shenanigan. The hold plan is very dickish. But i remember from past reaction you was wondering on to why even attack paradise island, was it due to hate. I thought it was obvious that this all clusterfuck is due to self preservation. I am sure the other nation can see what the Marley are planning since it was obvious as hell due to the timing. Maybe there will be leader who is on the fence or skeptical. But with eren attacking and kill a bunch of the worlds leader. Every doubt about attacking Paradise has been destroyed. Although, i am excited to see what happen next. Eren VS the whole world!!

Diego Zenhäusern

Lol, I completely forgott about that, but that would really make sense! And I if Marley would manage to get the founding Titan back in the process they'd even kill to birds with one stone...

Killua X

So, I went back and re-watched the episode and I'm probably the last person to realize this but they have guns on their ODM gear now. Just surprised nobody said anything about it I guess...
