Killua X

you work early...

Sorry if this is off-topic but I’ll just share what I think now and ignore it in the future. I love animals but it’s practically necessary to eat them as much as it’s necessary that they eat each other. Did you know meat was a necessary step in human evolution? Particularly in regard to brain development. As we age our bodies develop anabolic resistance requiring greater protein intakes. The quantity of protein necessary is dependent on amino acid profile, particularly leucine, a regulator of leptin (a sort of long term satiety hormone that also regulates hormone production and metabolic rate). Vegetarian protein sources have an incomplete AA profile and about half the leucine content.   In my case, I need at least 150g per day, more if dieting and/or playing sports/weightlifting frequently, and that’s with mostly animal protein sources. At half the leucine content, excluding animal proteins would require I eat 150g/600kcal more. That would be a struggle considering the accompanying carbs, fiber, and calories - unless I used a lot of powders. I’d also have to up my daily physical activity by 600kcal to maintain my current weight. Otherwise an additional 600kcal/day is an extra 60lbs per year (3,600kcal per pound of fat — whereas muscle being mostly water requires much less to lose), though people who follow such diets neglect their protein intake so they don’t usually end up overweight. The benefit of vegetarian diets in terms of weight loss is due to restricted food variety (less tasty foods on your plate to overeat). It’s why people can lose weight on any diet (which says little about body composition), like low carb, low fat, or carnivore diets. But protein deficient diets cause loss of lean body mass, primarily muscle but also bone and organ tissue.  You can find exceptions (or what appears to be one) to all of this, like vegan athletes (who tend to be the genetic elite or use performance enhancing drugs), but they are rare and misleading as we all vary in some particular ways on the individual level, sometimes exponentially (testosterone levels, metabolic rate, leptin/insulin sensitivity, etc.)  There’s a lot more to this like the need to supplement strictly plant-based diets with zinc (common deficiency among female athletes), iron (especially women), vitamin B12 (only found in animals, critical for brain function especially for brain development in fetuses - deficient intake can negatively affect absorption rate forever thus requiring a synthetic supplement; some studies suggest B12 and iron may help treat ADHD in children), calcium (dairy sources having the greatest bioavailability), and I’ll end it with saturated fats, which in excess may be harmful but are also best in absorption of fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and increasing the conversion of beta carotene into vitamin A (=skin health and immune system function).

Anyways, great reaction, forgot how good Brotherhood could be at times.

Where did people call you a maniac?? On YT right? Not here on Patreon. I remember the last AOT convo being pretty civilized and all of us understanding/agreeing on the matter of perspective. YT can be brutal man.. just the internet in general. Once you open up to the masses it's like you can't voice your opinion/thoughts on one thing without an army of opposing views. Aren't they the maniacs for going off so strongly on something like an anime series 🤔? Anyway, glad you're not letting them get to you... Also glad the community here isn't so close-minded.

Quote/ “Attack on Titan Director Retreats From Twitter After Fans Troll New Episode” ‘After all, a group of vocal fans targeted episode director Teruyuki Omine about the episode and its soundtrack. It turns out fans wanted the OST of season two to be played when Eren made his grand ambush. For most fans, the soundtrack found in the episode was fine. But for those fans who abhorred the choice, they let Omine know in the worst way. The harassment led Omine to lock their Twitter to private. For those who could still follow the Attack on Titan director, they sent plenty of love to support him, and Omine has since returned to public but with added restrictions. "This is a private account of one anime staff," Omine stressed. "Please stop all replies and RTs, both negative and positive. I don't want to bother the company or the original author. I just hope this situation calms down."’ /quote Link: comicbook.com/anime/amp/news/attack-on-titan-anime-season-4-director-twitter-fight-fans/ A lot of AoT fans are losing their minds about the last episode over some music choices. I thought it was one of AoT’s best episodes. They need to be more realistic with their expectations and not forget these people have a tough job to do (which almost none of these “fans” are capable of). So, expect a lot of uncivilized behavior ahead.

So in the original FMA there was an early episode that basically details the first interaction between the brothers and Yoki, they cut it from Brotherhood though but canonically it still happened.

well that arc felt out of place and kind of disrupts the perfect rhythm Brotherhood set up, so they decided to cut it out and bring it up later on as a flashback, besides who cares about that clown Yoki

Hard agree with you: Olivier Armstrong is just the most badass of badass xD!

Are you going to react to the new Re: Zero episodes any time soon? Also I love your reactions!

U right about the AOT community. I get some solace in the fact that some of those insane ones are “anime only’s” and haven’t seen the destruction of their baby yet. For the record I wouldn’t rate the ending a 1 or 2 like most that didn’t enjoy it but I still get excited thinking about the most toxic fans peeping it. My personal rating would be a high 4.5 to 5. Just putting it against the rest of the story makes it seem so worse. Anyways sorry for the tangent on a FMAB video. I enjoy ur reactions a lot. :)
