Killua X

Omg so early! How will I possibly contain myself to save it for my usual AP time later tonight?! 😬😬😬

lmaoo Gon getting angry at murderers always amuses me, I mean you do know what your bff does for a living right

AwakeProductions

Yeah gon doesn’t apply many rules to his friends. They can do whatever they want and he’s cool with it as long as they don’t try to get themselves killed.

Phantom Troupe for me is without a doubt the most interesting group in this series. It sheds new light into how "villains" should be, they're not some linear "pure evil" beings thinking about destroying the world 24/7; they're fun occasionally and similar to reality there's almost no way of telling who's "bad" people by looks alone, just look at some of them like Chrollo, Shalnark, Machi, do they look like mass murderers? What's even more amusing is these guys do terrible things, but they also have friends they care about to a point where they'd massacre a city to get revenge for him. man this yorknew bloodbath is a masterpiece

Christopher Rivera

I don’t know if they’re “without a doubt” the most interesting... in terms of group dynamics, yes, less so as individuals (depends which matters more to you in an antagonistic group). I agree with the rest though: masterpiece!

just wondering if anyone has managed to bypass the 'transfer quota exceeded' message on Mega

Christopher Rivera

The Hunter x Hunter manga translation of Chrollo's fortune (volume 11, chapter 96): Forever set, a precious moon is lost. The others mourn him, with ceremony grand. Rising up to heaven, the mighty moon of frost with a melody from the mourning band. Harvest barren, wine spilled, lovers slumber beside the bloody scarlet eyes. Though cut in half, shall be your number 'tis not lost, wherein your advantage lies. Amuse yourself with the entr'acte.* Seek out new friends once in a bind. Perhaps to the east one can be tracked the one most needed, you're sure to find. *Entr'acte sounds like “on tracked.”

you can sort of bypass it bu using a vpn. doing so will reset the amount of the video you can watch and you can start again from where you left off

I mean, I don't see the problem with you reacting to Neverland. It may be the case that I also love the show but that's besides the point.

Killua X

Just finished your whole reaction: 1) I feel like shit now. Sorry for being one of the ones who made the whole TPN issue so stressful for you. It looks like it took a lot of courage just to tell us that you've decided to do something you really want to do. I already said it but don't feel guilty please, I'm looking forward to TPN and your reactions. 2) Great to see you happily sing the intro song again; feels like it's been awhile. 3) "It's hard to know how to feel." Yep. This is HxH. Character development at its finest. 4) Hopefully this will get you a little more hype for Chrollo's ability and the episodes coming: remember when Chrollo was using the Nen fish to kill that assassin, he was holding that book that he always has with him... Also, to comment on the no-pain torture aspect. Think about it as psychological pain. Sometimes, the anticipation of pain and death is worse than the pain itself. It's a statistical fact: fear of the unknown (death) is humankind's #1 fear. "Fear is the mind-killer."

Herman

Also, the side-stepping/smashing through the wall was a callback to the last episode (or maybe it was the one before last?) when Zepile was teaching them the scamming techniques. And Killua's ankles don't have scars, those are current wounds he got when breaking Phink's grip episode 49 (this I said last ep but since you asked, kinda, this episode I'm writing again)

Christopher Rivera

Without any pain to drown out your ability to think I think most people would go insane. He was wondering why he wasn’t dead because the anticipation was “killing” him, his mind was racing without any breaks (until Chrollo let in some air).

Cool that u are on CBD to treat your OCD. I can only say CBD and THC helped me a ton. Wasnt sure however how old you are or if you are in a legal state.

Christian

I remember a month ago when Lex was saying that HxH needed to turn up the violence a bit. there ya go :p

Yuvitek

Few things to mention. Hisoka doesn't want to just kill people he wants to fight with the strong ones. Like Chrollo. You can rewatch the ending and there was a line when narrator said "you will find the one who awaits you" and Hisoka was shown. Also, the first part about calendar losing precious component was about Uvo. And the eleventh moon - it's eleventh member - Uvo. And, remember that the fate can be changed if you act differently. That's how Neon helps her father: she tells the fortunes for the mafia leaders and they try to avoid that fate. Some of that might happen some might not.

Mark

Don't worry we all love chrollo and the troupe even though they do what they do lol :<( sometimes you just can't help but love the villains hah

fdEA

Just gonna throw in my 2 cents. I'm probably gonna end my patronage untill you have watched a decent amout of HxH if you start TPS. This is not a slight or anything i'm just telling you so you have as many viewpoints as possible to base you decision on. Great reactions btw.

Sam

A lot of Promised Neverland manga readers thought the series went downhill after the escape arc that was covered in season 1. I still enjoyed it myself but the series does change as it goes along and is not always more of the same.

Sam

I won't spoil anything and I don't know if you'll like season 2 or not but I just thought I'd put it out there to keep your expectations in check. That way you're more likely to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.

JD

You have my blessing to do Promised Neverland, for what that's worth. Do you really get better views reacting to something that just out? The way I watch reactions, I only watch them for shows I've already seen and love to death. I suppose if you already watched the ep that aired, watching someone else react would help you fill the gap between the next episode. Anyway, it's a way shorter show than HxH and FullMetal, so it's only going to push those episodes back for a little while.

JD

Killua put it together based on having a grudge against the troupe and wanting to kill them, but also that he was hired by the mafia recently. Kurapika told them he was going to try and find employment in the underworld (in order to insinuate himself into the places where human trophies are traded) before they parted ways. Wing gave them an update on all the Hunter graduates who were learning nen too, so he would know that he hadn't gained employment until after that, but that's what he was intending to do as soon as possible. The show makes the troupe so likeable. It's the protagonist effect. Even when a protagonist is doing bad things, we don't hate them and we identify with them, because the author has put us in their shoes. The show put us in Chrollo's shoes, showed us things from his perspective for a while, so even though we know he and the troupe slaughtered an innocent village of men women and children, gouging out their eyes while they were still alive, JUST TO SELL THEM... we find ourselves forgetting to despise them, to hope for their agonizing deaths. I enjoy the troupe, they have their integrity, but they cause immense, unimaginable suffering and pain, and they don't even care.

JD

[SPOILERS] regardless of whether those lines of the fortune are still valid or if they were nullified by Chrollo acting to avoid losing half the troupe, they would still be referring either to new allies or the nen exorcist, not Hisoka. The scenes until Hisoka on the rooftop weren't representative of the lines being read. It was just showing what each member of the troupe was doing. Hisoka only appeared during those lines because he was shown last, to single him out as different from the troupe members, as in he doesn't identify with them and their cause, and isn't interested in mindless havoc (if he was shown not participating as one of the first scenes or in the middle, it wouldn't be as effective at showing his difference to them). Why would he need to go east to encounter Hisoka when Hisoka is right there and ready to fight him? [/SPOILERS]

Diego Zenhäusern

I really kinda liked the reveal of the coin-toss-rule....idk I always like it when a group has rules like that in place to keep order and prevent unnecessary fighting. I'm also impressed that they all really seem to value and respect that rule...just another little thing to add to the complexity of their characters/ their group dynamics.

Diego Zenhäusern

I left a longer comment on this on one of her fmab reactions, but I also think a large protion of the reason why we are able to forget/ look over the horrible things the troupe did and does, is because the anime doesn't really treat death and violence with any real gravity (compared for instance to fmab). Take this, add the protagonist effect and make them do/ say funny (or compassionate) things from time to time and suddenly even the worst people don't seem as evil as they would otherwise.

no google link?

Radoras

well, to be completely honest, I don't care about Promised Neverland that much (yet, since other anime got my attention over it, but it's somewhere down on my watch list^^), so I didn't comment, but if you want to watch it & do a video on it - by all means, go for it! Not every show on the channel has to be for everyone & I already feel like I enjoy almost every anime on your list, so if you just feel like doing one without having a majority vote first, sure, no problem, you getting so invested in the shows you watch is part of what keeps me here :)

IamBaum

Regarding promised neverlands: You should totally feel free to air it here the moment it releases, after all the shows you are most excited about should also make the best reactions. I personally won't watch it (yet), because i never watch any reactions to any ongoing anime. But i'm looking forward to binge watch your reactions in a few months after it's finished :)

Good point. That’s what makes the phantom troupe so dangerous. There’s a chain of command and they follow rules within their group. This is no ordinary criminal group, they are a organised crime syndicate

IAmABacon

I would love for you to watch The Promised Neverland! When watching weekly shows that I love. I initially watch them normally; but then go around watching various reactions each week. Helps me notice things I might not have noticed the first time round (or just be able to remember the episode better, as my memory is horrendous.) I love seeing people's different takes on things too.

You can’t really make an OP condition like Kurapikas if you have a weak resolve, he’s only able to do it because of his strong resolve due to what happened to his people, not many people have that strong resolve, and if you don’t that, the condition would be weak and you wouldn’t gain much nen back for the risk you’re taking

Christopher Rivera

Yeah, this is often overlooked when discussing the power system wrt power scaling and balance. Setting conditions is a choice but desiring something and committing to that desire is involuntary. For Kurapika, his resolve is a psychological consequence of losing his whole clan, only because of that loss can he have a desire strong enough to gain this much nen (“equivalent exchange,” “no pain no gain”). The strength of his emotions are themselves a strength boost - though relying on negative emotions has consequences, straining the user - before even considering the boost from the condition.

You asked yourself, how can the phantom troup kill innocent people just for the lose of one guy.... For my percective, killing mafia guys or random people is two different thing.... Even if killing those guys are not a "good behavior".... Beeing part of the mafia is accepting using the society for your own greed.... you chose this life, so you are not a "random guy"... no ?
