That covenant/contract is why Kurapika wasn’t going to attack until he was sure it was the Troupe. Also, his intent to kill is only for the Troupe since he feels just in doing so - this point as to how he feels about killing is made back in the Exam’s Trick Tower against Majitani (=blue muscle bound weakling) who he refused to kill even after Killua offered to do it. What Chrollo said about Judas not being a traitor is a clue to his beliefs like Feitan not understanding family is a clue to their background (similar to how gang members tend to come from broken homes - but *no* idea of family suggests abandonment and or homelessness, think if Gon didn’t have Mito and grew up in Meteor City instead of Whale Island).

Just some of the things you said in your reaction that gave me chills just thinking of what's up ahead... 2)You'll accept Kurapika's condition of only being able to use his chains on the troupe once you find out exactly what a "condition" does (in next 2 eps IIRC) 3) Please don't talk to your brother too much about HxH! This show is too easily to spoil and wayyyy too good to spoil. There are many epic moments to come that have been described as some of the most epic moments in all of shonen anime. CANNOT WAIT! Can we get a HxH Christmas special binge watch!? Because EPS 45,46,47 should be watched in a row aka 46 & 47 should not be split up, it will also set up the pairs for the following episodes.

Yeah, those were interesting comments. If she could do 45, 46 and 47 as a triple that would be an awesome Christmas special. Not complaining if it doesn’t happen but it would also make future uploads even more enjoyable to end on a high(er) point if they end in odd numbered episodes — as in: episodes 48+49, 50+51, etc. I remember my brother constantly asking about HxH and he couldn’t get any spoilers out of me. On rare occasion I gave hints to the opposite outcome, especially if he was making accurate guesses lol.

You should definitely watch 45-47 in a row or watch 45, then 46-47. I don't recommend separate 46 and 47 eps. Also, the next episodes will be better watched together as well: 46-47,48-49, 50-51, 52-53. I think every HxH fan will agree...

Well, Uvogin (and this was stated in ep 43, just to clarify) is the physically strongest member in the troupe, but characters in hunter x hunter are rarely measured only on the "destructive capability of their punches" scale. Most of the time, people are also judged by how difficult their powers are to manage without sustaining some sort of detrimental effect or injury, (like Hisoka's bungee gum, doesn't really do any damage on its own, but man is it a pain to deal with and counter), or on another scale entirely unrelated to combat (like Neon's fortune telling, useless in a fight, priceless outside of one).

Kurapika doesn't really know the Phantom Troupe are strong, he just knows them as despicable bandits, really. I think this "arc", after the Hunter Exam and Heavens Arena, is when the show got a later timeslot, so yeah, you'll start seeing blood now lol I was completely mesmerized by the size of your cup lmao What better way to impress upon the audience how strong the Phantom Troupe are by showing Uvogin defeat the mafia's best fighters paralyzed from the neck down. I love Melody so much. One of my favourite characters ever. Kurapika's restriction is risky, but not dumb, trust.

Probably the worst part of Uvogin spitting that piece of skull at Rabid Dog is the fact he must have swallowed the rest of that mouthful before spitting that piece of bone out.

Man, I really have to remind myselft, that most people don't know that Nen exists and so, for instance, would have no way of even suspecting the people could have vanished any other way than by kidnapping. It just feels so unreal that only so few people know about it, as it is basically like magic and people should realize somethng is wrong when they see it. But then again: Nen users probably don't need to use Nen (or at least no obvious Nen) to defeat normal people. So it probably makes sense most people never really would notice it....

I think you mean 45-47 go together since that ends on a high point. Then 48+49 can start easy and end with some hype. I just finished York New in the manga, fun read. Actually I read volumes 1-13 in 5 days. Will share the details on Chrollo’s ability once it’s appropriate (same episode/chapter as the manga reveals it).

Shizuku’s is a rare ability. There are less than a thousand hunters of five different categories (and a sixth of highly varied and much rarer abilities), who hide info related to what and how their ability works to prevent exploitation of weakness and maintain the element of surprise against others. Maybe there is suspicion over strange occurrences that are in fact nen-related but most people are too busy to deal with what amounts to crop circles and so they rationalize away impersonal concerns. If seeing is believing, not seeing is not believing. (Even seeing doesn’t leave everyone with the same impressions.)
