I’m so sorry for how late this is. I had a really bad OCD episode during and right after recording. I also had a rough night before recording so it was late before I could even get the chance to record. I feel so guilty for letting you all down. I can’t apologize enough. I hope you guys can at least enjoy the reaction.

I like that Neon had the temper tantrum in terms of character writing, and if she could fight she’d have less need for bodyguards and would detract from other characters like Kurapika. She is a spoiled brat because her father is not raising her to be an adult but using her to attain and maintain power in the mafia. The Dark Sonata is probably a nen ability like Basho’s haiku poems or Neon’s fortunetelling poems. Also I believe it changed not just Melody’s arm but her body and face. It’s probably why she has those long front teeth and bald top (she looks a bit worse in the manga, too, like a zombie 🧟‍♀️ ). And Togashi has Hisoka and Killua keep changing clothes to reflect their personality as transmuters (=fickle and prone to using deception/appearances). Machi, nen stitches girl, is also a transmuter (perhaps her stitches turn to flesh like when fixing up Hisoka).

I appreciate that you go back and rewatch or read when you miss stuff or get distracted. I will never get tired of you fangirling over Killua and his fly outfits haha. Kurapika and Melody and basically on the same kind of mission. Work their way into the underworld, or the mafia, in order to find things that only criminals have interest in. And yeah Togashi's ideas, and the world he created, are just so enthralling. So unique and weird and thrilling. A piece of music said to be composed by the devil, just hearing it deformed and scarred her. So freaky.

In the episode I was kinda like: "I don't know, but it didn't sound to me like she could fight, but just like she'd literally throw a tantrum...so you might get your hopes up for nothing here..." Seems like I was correct xD But yeah, it only made sense, why else would they need bodyguards if Neon was that badass..

This can be said about so many of the characters in HXH really. Especially in the you know what arc. Really the greatest character development of any anime I've seen. It's like Game of Thrones, everyone's got a story and they're all interesting.
