It might be a good idea to pick out some long time subs you know don't post spoilers and give them mod privileges. It is a fairly big risk, since if they end up being assholes they might start removing comments they shouldn't, but they can also be really helpful and remove pretty much every spoiler comment.

You can kill people in Heaven's Arena, Kastro did die, as did a lot of Hisoka's previous opponents. Also, pretty soon, the IMO best Arc of the show is coming up, and its going to be great.

Yeah, Hisoka takes a turn here, and it's still too soon to talk about him, but I want to draw your attention to the fact it's the fight that turns him on, with a formidable or promising opponent, not anything outside that. Seeing that Gon is determined to land a hit, and is good enough to actually pull it off. It would be true of anyone in the same circumstances. Hisoka remains one of my favourite characters, even though he's pretty much a psycho lol Edit: wow, you actually figured out all this yourself in the review of that episode. That's pretty amazing. You even compared Hisoka to Gon which I NEVER see people do. In my mind they are the two most alike characters in this whole show.

JD

The ending of that episode where Gon lands a hit makes me so giddy. Even like a 100 times later, this anime hypes me up like no other.

Please keep singing the intros and outros even if you miss parts and mess up, it's super fun!

Yeah it really sucks to hear togashi being sick and not wanting to finish hxh :/ if i remember he said he'll have his wife finish it for him. Idk She also made Sailor Moon. Hxh anime probably wont comeback till like in 2050 hiatus x hiatus :(

Where did you hear this? Sounds like a baseless rumor... I’m pretty sure he rejected having another artist do his work as it’s very personal for him. He also definitely wants to finish it, his back is just debilitating (something youtuber RealLifeRyan can somewhat relate to). Excerpt from Comicbook.com: Recently, Shueisha published its latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, and the update held a new interview with Togashi. It was there the artist revealed whether he’s finished Hunter x Hunter story behind the scenes and if the manga will ever end. “I need to finish writing Hunter x Hunter,” Togashi admitted. “It has come to the point where either the story concludes first or I die before that happens. But I do intend to finish it.” Source: https://comicbook.com/anime/amp/news/hunter-x-hunter-finish-hiatus-manga-anime/

About Hiatus x Hiatus, I think when you finish the show you’ll understand that Togashi’s work is worth waiting for. It’s also untrue that he doesn’t want to finish the series. He does, he just wants to be the one to do it and only his way. When he had to follow a weekly schedule on his previous manga, Yu Yu Hakusho, he felt pressured to churn out chapters prematurely and became very depressed as a result. For HxH he avoids reading similar manga to keep his unique style intact (a style unlike anything I’ve ever come across). “A delayed game is eventually good. A bad game is bad forever.” - Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, etc.

I think it’s really starting* to dawn on her what makes this series great. The possibilities of nen, the fight scenes, and especially the characters and character-driven story. It has a third of the fights of Naruto but I enjoy them so much more. It isn’t fight centric like Dragon Ball Z which has a story for the sake of fights but in HxH it has fights for the sake of the story. (Also, DBZ is an influence on Togashi’s Yu Yu Hakusho and HxH — all of which are an influence on Naruto.)

AwakeProductions confirmed not into kink shaming.

Another thing to note - it's not just mental health, he has had severe problems with his back as a result of a lifelong career as a mangaka. Togashi is constantly on hiatus because he physically can't do it for long periods of time, and he refuses to allow someone else to take over, because he wants to write the story he wants, as you said.

One of Hisokas advantages is that (as he said) his ability is pretty flexible...maybe an experienced Manipulator could block his hits with Objects & avoid his Bungee gum that way, don't know. But I really like that Hisoka also taught Gon a lot in that fight - I mean, he literally explained the openings Gon had to him & walked him through the most important hits he landed so he would understand what happened.

Hm Hisokas' greatest strength is that he took an absolute trash ability, perfected it, and is able to apply it in any situation; that strength of him makes him unstoppable on top of his high intellect (like Lemillion from MHA from example (Permeation)). Hisoka is among my top 3 favorite fighters in HxH, but I still like Kurapika more haha.

I wanted you to watch 35's Hunterpedia not 36's(it's uninformative and not that funny) but thanks for remembering.

Knocking Master Jiro

The guy who was explaining to the audience in episode 36 with the silver long hair and who was sparkling name is "Prince Baka". He was the main character of "Level E" a series created before HxH by Togashi. It's a comedy manga and he's a easter egg in this episode.

Kishimoto: “I like concentrating on a single body part. Back when I was in high school , I had a single notebook filled with drawings of hands and legs under different angles, I guess you could call it my fetish.”

I'm on your site: don't trust the youtube comments, they're dangerous! xD The concept of abilities being closer to or further awy from you really sounds interesting, I love intricate shit like that! But man, now I wan't to know what the indicators for the other classes in the water divination test are! ^^

Killua X

So glad I finally decided to sub to Patreon with you. It's definitely worth it. First anime reactor I've subbed to as well. Can't wait for alllll that's to come with HxH. **Also, it's really cool when you sing the intro! Keep doing it, you sound great!
