This isn’t a fight-centric show, it’s very character driven, but the fights are worth the wait because of the emotional investment in the characters. Gon doesn’t want other tags exhibiting his determination and not running from challenges. Kurapika doesn’t give up his tags but offers a reasonable consolation because he’s smart but the hunter license is a step towards getting his revenge. Hisoka made his philosophy clear in contrast to Gitarackur by not killing the fatally injured man with the spear because “I have standards.” He kills according to challenge because that satisfies him and being that strong he must spare the few with potential to be a challenge. Resolve is essential to a hunter’s potential.

I'm so happy to see another Killua fan. Killua is by far my favorite character and he only gets better and deeper as a character as the show goes on. And yes, Hisoka is creepy and terrifying and all kinds of unpredictable, but he's also one of the most interesting characters of the show. He's far from a good person, but he's not evil for the sake of being evil. I like to describe Hisoka as having a "Chaotic Me" alignment, as in he'll do whatever tf he wants to do because that's what's interesting and exciting to him at the time. All in all, I'm excited to be here for you to experience this show and hopefully you'll understand why this is easily in my top 3 shounen anime of all time.

The fights are incredibly smart and realistic, we should be able to see more of it later on but it’s entirely different from any other shounen I’ve seen

If they stay outside of the cave, Leorio would have passed out so they can't communicate. And he barely can talk when they reached him. P.S. Killua is the best. Yea!

13:10 I actually thought Hisoka might accept Kurapikas offer, but I was only like mabe 60% shure....so I can't really brag about it xD But I definitelly agree with you, that they shouldn't stand a chance against him at this point. And Killua tricking the Nijna really was a badass move, didn't see that one coming at all!

every time I watch this show I notice things I hadn't noticed before. Like when Gon says Hisoka is hiding his presence and they cut between Hisoka and the other guy walking towards each other. Anytime they show Hisoka walking his foot steps don't make noise while the other guys foot steps do.

Gon grew up in foresty mountains. He learned there.
