I dunno if Korea has a different mythology or not, but 'The Monkey King' is a Chinese god called Sun Wukong. He's known for having an extendo-pole. I'm only aware of him, as he appears in quite a few games; and I believe Goku from Dragonball was based off him. (He also had an extendo-pole and a magic cloud)

Sun Wukong is from the Journey to the West, one of China’s classics. He is categorized as a type of demon in the story, but not the western version of a demon, basically a really powerful monster/spirit. A channel I really enjoy that focuses on history and mythology did multiple episodes on the Journey to the West, the first of which was entirely focused on Sun Wukong. https://youtu.be/61nuXrvqNgI that’s the link to the video and it’s a pretty good summary of the first chapter of the book. Wukong was an ancient Chinese mythical being who challenged and almost obliterated the entire heaven's forces all by himself and was eventually defeated and sealed away by the Buddha in the legends.
