To be honest, I'm not getting where the stuff regarding Meimei being in love with Lakan comes from? There hasn't really been any indication of that? Meimei was Fengxian's attendant when she was young, and when she got older, she was good at playing Go, which Lakan enjoyed playing, and did with Meimei when he came by. Lakan and Meimei was familiar with eachother for a long time, but Meimei being in love with Lakan? I don't see it, at all. :/

Before the show talking about Meimei: Since the bet I’ve always leaned toward buying out her mom since anything else seems like the wrong move and a cheap out. Like Meimei I don’t think there was ever any real feeling between them and it’s like settling because he can’t get what he wants. It’s would have been such a disappointing turn of event. The baby finger really confused me. But apparently a baby can regrow fingertips if only a small bit is amputated. So we get more of the reasoning of Lakan. He wants to be with Maomao as her father but “hates” Jinshi because of his interest in her. Got it 😁 That was well done with Meimei. Stone's face shows that she is not the one and she notices his lack of enthusiasm and bypasses the matron. 😁 It’s so beautiful how he sees Fengxian’s face as perfect. 🥰 I’m glad that Maomao knows the truth. We don’t know if she knows the whole truth but her adoptive father must have told her a lot of what really happened. He is the uncle so he would know. With her feelings about her biological father, it’s the first time Maomao was completely honest on screen. It’s still a complicated situation so hard to wrap my mind around in one sitting. She doesn’t hate him but still. The dance was amazing 🥰 And the almost fall was scary 😱 The fingertip growing back is true. I don’t see the Meimei Lakan thing. Maomao and Jinshi have a great dynamic. Fantastic season, looking forward to the next one. Fun season. I’m glad we have to watch it with you. Take Care 😋

Or did she cut off her own finger cuz we see one missing and she mentions her mom was left with a crooked finger (I think) but the finger that’s missing is her moms ring finger so I’m still a little lost.

It seem like it. I was so confuse about the baby finger but with a short google search I read that fingertip can grow back almost fully. So Maomao's Mom cut her own finger and Maomao fingertip. Maomao said it on the wall roof that fingertip grow back. It's still a fuck up thing to do but she was not well at that time . EDIT: In the bag Lakan received there are two pieces a long finger and a tiny bit.
