Heh… Than's lesson certainly left a mark on Alexis… and I'm not talking just about her boobs. But apparently she's taken it way too literally. It's true that “nobody does anything for free”. But people often are doing things without having a clear idea WRT how they would benefit from them. Yes, even “grand poohbahs”. In fact… ESPCIALLY grand poohbahs. You could not stay in power without help from others. Noone can do that. Not even extreme dictator can stay “on top” without help from others. Which usually means they have people who owe them a favor. And for that to happen they must first help them in some way without getting anything back immediately. The trick is to pick a time when you could do someone a huge favor which will not cost you much. And “not costing you much” means different things for different people. When Andy Bechtolsheim gave Larry and Sergey their first cheque for US$100 000 this was huge sum for them but a tiny one for him. Now his shares of Google (which he have gotten in exchange) are worth over $1 000 000 000 while similar shares of other companies (which he also helped to found) are worth nothing (because they went extinct). It'll be a pity to find out that Rhea genuinely wanted to help with the hope to cash in Alixis' favor some time later and now, thanks to Than's machinations, Alexis will just spurn her help and put herself deeper in the hole… she's already pretty deep, she does not need to dig it deeper.

New perk for $12/$15 patrons? If Zdemian initially produces these pages in large enough sizes and could do that without spending to much time separating their pieces, obviously. Some pages include art which would look great standalone. That page's spaceship, picture of Than from 27th page of LBSC would also be great (Chris and Erasis wanted it), I'm pretty sure otakon2006 would love picture of "cowmom" without Alexis reflection, Alexis from 13th page of LBSC could be a great stand-alone pin-up, etc. Some comic authors offer “a glimpse of the future”—unfinished pages as they are creaed. If I understand correctly these are not available in the case of LBSM because Zdemian tend to produce pages in one sitting, but if something else could be offered instead then new tier above $5 would make some sense.

I must admit, know that spaceship itself is meant to be a Joke idea and all, but half wonder what design Z would have if he took a more serious approach to it.

She's being lead to her quarters in an EXHIBITION HALL. I can see where Alexis is coming from here at this point, she's been kidnapped, more than likely set-up, had research stolen from her, lied to, humiliated and now it looks like she's being used in the same capacity that a cleaned chicken being hung in a butcher's window: displayed as a chunk of meat. Man I hope the next page alleviates some of this for me, this is looking lousy for Alexis and Miriam is NOT helping. Dammit C.A.P.I. do something about that bubble head! This isn't sounding like much of an improvement over Than's place at all, at least there she wasn't being put on a pedestal to be gawked at. "Oh but she was exposed!" Yeah, by her own choice and volition before Than butted(boobed?) in her way into her life. Miriams outburst is meant to alleviate the tenseness of the situation, but it only magnifies it for me.

“Miriams outburst” shows to us that Alexis is basically alone in this. Ysabel is probably more loyal to Rhen than to Alexis (which is quite understandable) and Miriam is such a dimwit that she could not even understand that there are anything wrong. Which is just pathetic. How come a CEO of [somewhat] successful entrprise does not have anyone she could ask for help? How have she managed to become a CEO if she does not have any allies? Was she a CEO at all, actually? Perhaps she was [unknowingly] put in that position to become a scapegoat later? Female Sitz-Chairman Funt with a gigantic boobs… The whole story becomes more and more sad as it goes on, which really clashes with vibrant, lush backgrounds and joyous style of an artwork… as Eamonn McGrail said about her pin up: “This is the first image in which I've seen Alexis smiling! She doesn't look so...moody! Or tense,or upset,or lonely.” She was portrayes as somewhat extatic for a brief couple of pages in her dream which just makes her real world position that much more awful.

I guess the I.S.S. Miriam jokes are all used up for this chapter! I'm honestly wondering how is Alexis' company even running, or did Than acquire it in a sort of merger that was implied in the early chapters?

Far as we know, it was shut down and her assets frozen. I suspect that it was corporate sabotage by Than.
