Hit the milestone for a new b/w comic a couple weeks back; thanks everyone for your support! To start, I'm going to post the a few pages as a sort of 'intro' to several different comic ideas I have. Once they've all been done, we'll do a poll to see which idea is continued. So, here's the first page of the first idea; the next couple pages should be posted over the next couple days.

Zdemian - Are you just running late on p2 of this or are these going to be more spread out? I'm so anxious to see what happens next.

The milestone goal seems very misleading. Its says "one weekly comic", but the last 3 weeks only one page was released. It might be best to explain why this is the case.

Yup. Said milestone is basically self-contradicting: on one hand it says “the current two, full-color pages per week will essentially be fully funded”, on the other hand it says “at this milestone, I will start a second, black and white comic releasing weekly”. On one hand, since apparently $1000 only pays for one comic, not two, we could not complain too much that second comic have only gotten one page so far (at the end of last month we've only had $1060 in pledges and $60 only buys you one B/W comic page at Zdemian's prices: <a href="http://goo.gl/vE28TY" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://goo.gl/vE28TY</a> ). On the other hand the milestone clearly promised one page per week… Perhaps it should have been $1250? If $1000 buys us two pages a week and $1500 pays for three then “two-and-half” should go for $1250… and $1000 will then be “An Occasional Noir” (meaning that we'll be getting new B/W pages every now and then but without hard promises WRT timing)?

Shouldn't it be fourth or at least second idea, not first? There are “Black Jack”, “A Lecture on Differential Equations”, and “Pronouns”—even if we exclude “Thanks a Million!” from the list because it's LBSM-related. “Black Jack” and “Pronouns” contain kind-of-finished stories, but “A Lecture on Differential Equations” looked like a genuine start of something larger…

Well, that's kind of the problem: few pages are rarely enough to see what the story is all about in a comic. Think LBSM: first two pages were Alexis training videos and third page was interview with a successful (albeit quirky) CEO of a large company. Only fourth page showed that there are something really fishy with Alexis, there was an attempted kidnapping at page five, but only pages ten (or may be even eleven) made it abundantly clear that we'll be dealing to with cat-and-mouse chases and dealings of that company but with some shady organization where Alexis will be captive. Basically to see some coherent plot we needed to see about dozen of pages! That's why there are usually "pilot chapter" (8-12-16 pages in size) but if we'll go with such "pilot chapters" then we'll reach the vote period somewhere in the beginning of the next year… and two chapters will not be continued anyway.
