Batman

So there was more to her than her vanity, I had feeling about that.

Mason Dunne

That sure is coming out hissing through her teeth.

I'm still praying we haven't completely lost the super ambitious goddess of breasts I've come to love. :P

On the other hand I REALLY hope that Alexis will accept that. Than and Alexis may not be friends, but I really hope they would try to keep pATAgon going strong. Feds may want to see pATAgon gone, but they quite explicitly haven't said put it as their goal to Alexis: removal of Than from the president position was the goal, not dismantling of the pATAgon.

Mason Dunne

I hope so too, they could make quite a team if they play their strengths!

What about the Feds?Aren't they planning sanctions?

Than is so much more attractive than Alexis. A grown woman.

Jagnir

A more fruitful Than? I can only hope.

From what I'm seeing they expect that with Alexis at the helm pATAgon will just fall into disarray naturally without outside help. I really hope Alexis and Rhea can prove them wrong. While Than's past (and, most likely, even her present) is quite shady from what's I'm seeing pATAgon is supposed to be “white company” ( http://goo.gl/LdnWal )… even if it's move to “administrative district” was “aided by a great deal of influence from higher-ups in the federal bureaucracy” it does not look like it's dwellers (except for Than and/or Annabel) are doing anything illegal. Feds may think that Than may not deserve to become a materfamilia but it does not mean that other people, who did nothing wrong, must suffer because of Feds [justified] paranoia!

Really like the perspective shots this page and the one of Alexis from the last one. I'm still struggling to grasp where Than is headed with all this. All will be revealed in time I guess. If we're assuming she isn't going to be locked up or stripped of her business ties to Patagon from the Feds, then she still has a business interest in Patagon being a thing and Alexis not totally screwing up. I still have a hard time seeing Than letting go of it that easily though. That was the thing with Than up to this point- she not only seemed like the mostly level headed business CEO type for Patagon but on the other hand she was kind of completely self obsessed with her chest and all of that vanity, to the extent that you had her being in control tied to her being the biggest. I just really have a hard time thinking how she seemingly lets go of that part of her desires and goals so quickly. Broken record but I'll be disappointed if Than just kind of settles for Alexis being in control without some kind of plan brewing in the background to retake control or just do something to get back at Alexis.

That part of Than is what's made her a fun character to this point. Totally ridiculous ambition and genuine enjoyment of what she was doing. Will be bummed out if she just settles into some curmudgeonly role sitting on the board of Patagon.

Surprisingly enough I think this thing could be good both for pATAgon and for Than. PATAgon: many great companies and/or huge empires crubled when they lost their founder. Macedonian or Mongol Empires, Hewlett-Packard or Microsoft—every time “undisputed leader” leaves it's hard time for the company—but if founder is around and could give some helpful suggestions process is easier (think Nintendo or, heck, even Microsoft). As for Than… recall Steve Jobs words: “I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.” Besides Than will probably not be technically fired (just like Jobs was never officially fired), she may even return, who knows? Anyway: this is key turning point both for Than and pATAgon, I guess we'll see what happens. We STILL have no idea what Feds plan to do for Than. Do they want her out because they have some dirt and want to sent her to jail (but don't want to mess with her while she's the president of pATAgon)? Do they want to just push her and then [try to] disband the pATAgon? The most important question: have Alexis disclosed the fact that they are behind this coup d'état? Does Than know what goes on? This could explain thing nicely: if Than knows that she's under observation and her struggles could hurt the pATAgon then she could decide to step aside and give Feds time to show their hand. In that case her decision would make perfect sense.

I expect Than to be pretty hard on Alexis, demanding good performance of the new CEO (of HER company). I mean, Alexis had a business of her own, so she can't be totally incompetent. But PATAgon seems far and above what Alexis had control of before.
