An update (Patreon)

Dear Patrons,

You have probably noticed I have not uploaded a video in over a month now. I have received some private messages as well, and I owe all of you an explanation. Now that all of us are Corona-quarantined there is no better time to do so.

HoH has been a passion project for over 1.5 years, with weekly uploads, sometimes 2. It has taken up a great deal of my time, and I've enjoyed every second of it. I've met great people, received an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm and support, and earned -just about- enough to justify working well over 50 hours a week on it, simply because it was so much fun. Unfortunately, there comes a time where you have to be pragmatic. As much as I'd like to continue working on HoH full-time I will not be able to sustain myself.

I've landed an internship which was simply too good to pass up. It has taken up lots of my time, hence the lack of videos. Ironically, I have enough scripts ready (the most time-consuming part of HoH) for the next couple of months, but simply no time to record and/or edit. I hope that I will be able to conclude the complete History of Prussia series this summer, and perhaps start posting a video every 2-3 weeks before that. 

Because I cannot guarantee that I will conclude the series this summer, if I land a job I probably will not, it is only right to disable my Patreon account. My heartfelt thanks to all of you. House of History has been an incredibly wild ride. I am at risk of repeating myself, but I met so many great people, had so many interactions and when I think of the past 1.5 years I am filled with gratitude and look back at it with fondness.  Thank you for supporting me and this project. I wish all of you nothing but the best.
