Figure Practice #3: Anguish (Patreon)

This is one of my personal favorites. I have always been interested in depicting anguish/suffering since I was a high school student in 2012. I believe this was me first discovering how to express the pain I felt inside through my work. Every single time I attempt something like this, it seems to work out well! The biggest challenge was the lower body connecting to the ribcage, and the facial expression. The extended jaw, at a lower angle view, with the head tilted all the way up? Now that's a challenge.
I am using my flat detail / ergo draw brush.
The video is 4x sped up from realtime. You can slow it down .5x to watch it at 2x speed without losing quality / experiencing choppiness!
I hope you enjoy and have a great time drawing along!
