Tifa is sooo strong haha. May I suggest that for the popular character’s poll we separate big IP characters so characters from small IP can stand a chance? Just a thought haha (o^^o)

Well, you won't believe it but she was beaten once before. I understand your reasoning, but on my Patreon big contestants are not the most popular here most of the time. I included Rem from Re:Zero multiple times and never won, and that happened as well with Asuna from SAO, Miruko from bnha, Futaba from persona 5, Fubuki from one punch man... And characters like Rikku from FFX, Winry from fullmetal, and Kaine from Nier won when the remake was not even announced and the popularity of her game was on minimums

Aaa, making fair and equal polls, what an adventure lol I read the comment about making different polls depending on the popularity of characters and it's actually something I considered doing... But since we (small artists) need to maximize our chances of getting lots of attention/likes, I figured it'd be better to just focus on the very popular girls I don't know if it's the same for you Mystra but when making a poll I can pretty much guess who will win, are at least who are the 2 characters that will be ahead. Interesting thing to point out: girls who come from video games are a lot more likely to win than girls from anime/manga, even if they are hugely popular like Rem you mentionned. I guess people feel closer to games girl than anime girls since they interact "directly" with them. And I'm glad you'll get to draw either Hilda or Tifa (I voted for Hilda since she was behind :) )

Thanks for your input here Zaphn, I've been wondering about this a lot too. There was a time when I even considered ignoring the OC poll and draw two popular girls (and I'm still thinking about that). You're completely right about the anime vs. videogame waifus, they're definitely more popular in polls. I also realized that trends are not very popular in polls either (like Dimistrescu from REVillage, or Bayonetta last month, or I-No from Guilty Gear). If people can see a lot of that at the moment, they're not going to vote so you draw the same it's around everywhere. That's the reason why I introduce classic characters that are not that drawn nowadays but were popular, people want to see new art from them and they work great as well. Also my criteria to fill out the polls is: Are there many brunettes? Then add a blonde. Is there many waifus from actual stuff? Add then something classic. There are many tough looking ladies? Add something more moe like. Also I noticed people was voting a lot of Fire Emblem waifus on previous months so I try to comply and add at least one for awhile, and completely opposite for SAO waifus that I've tried to include three times and never got close to winning even its popularity.
