I was going to upload the actual individual scans of these images but feel like the contact sheet holds the images together a bit better. I used to take the Greyhound bus from Chicago to NYC then down the coast towards Virginia to visit friends and a boy I was dating at the time. I think about it every now and then how much of an adventure it was. Riding the bus for a few days, getting off and exploring the area, grabbing snacks, then on to the next place. This trip specifically was my first time in NYC. I took the bus to just a few blocks from Time Square, walked to the top of Central Park, then down to the bottom of Manhattan. I remember grabbing bagels from street vendors and being fueled by nothing but carbs and coffee. That evening I slept in the bus station, being cheap and not wanting to get a hotel. This was such a simple point in my life, adventuring off just to see new things.

In these images you'll see everything from Time Square, the ceiling of Grand Central Station, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, the NYC public library, to Washing D.C, and the Charlottesville Japanese Tea Garden.
