RANDOM LOCATION ROUND-UP

OVERVIEW

There are various other locations in Panty’s Landing which, while important, aren’t necessarily deserving of their own articles. This will serve as a brief run-down of them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LUCIA AND MAX’S SCHOOL

One of the few actually organized things in Panty’s Landing, the three schools are run by a gang itself called the Teaching Squad. They’re a group of professors who are hell-bent on ensuring each student gets an education, often showing up to people’s doors brandishing guns and telling them that if their child doesn’t attend school, they’re done. They’re smart enough to kick all their “donations”—students are robbed upon entering the school—up to Bon, and use their stockpile of weapons to blow away any punk who tries starting crap with them.

Lucia attends the oldest school in the entire city, one built before Scurvy even arrived, and it shows. Never once has it undergone renovations, not even to fix a squeaky door or a broken step, and with more and more students falling through floors or out of windows, it’s become common for people to tape airbags around their children to keep them safe.

THE POLICE STATION

Scurvy built this police station because he loved the irony of it. After all, someone like him, who had made his career off terrorizing law enforcement in every way he could, becoming law enforcement? That idea was…incredible. At first he appointed his own men to work here, loving the irony of that as well, and began issuing bounties on the biggest criminals around—namely people he didn't like, or people he’d already wronged and wanted to suffer more. The Danger’s Cove Police Force never messed around, and were taken very seriously. There’s an old warning elders used to whisper: If you break the law, laddy, they’ll break your jaw.

But, over the years, as Danger's Cove shift into Panty’s Landing and deteriorated into the mess it is now, being a police officer began to mean less and less. Bon never gave a damn about funding them, and after a while it became boring just eating donuts and watching criminals commit heinous acts without a second thought, so everyone quit. The place fell into disarray, and was mostly forgotten, until Luther arrived.

Luther isn’t a cop. Luther doesn’t even own a gun nor has ever even fired one. He’s just a dude who was walking home from a Halloween party one night, saw the place, and thought that since he was dressed as a police officer, it was a sign from God. So everyday he trudges down here, sits behind the desk, and pretends to be a cop. He has no authority, and actually does very little, but it makes him happy to feel productive.

LUCKY’S HOME OF CLOWNFOOLERY

Once the center of Panty’s Landing’s entertainment scene, Lucky’s Home of Clownfoolery was so beloved that if the harshest gangster in town thought about screwing with it, they’d be shot in the head before they even opened their mouth. Hosted by Lucky the Clown, a comedian known far and wide, and Luna the Bunny, a brilliant cook, it was a brief respite from all the terribleness plaguing the city, a place where anyone could play games, eat delicious food, or just share some laughs.

It started from humble beginnings. Lucky, at the time homeless, would often travel to an empty parking lot and try his hardest to turn every frown he saw upside down. This didn’t always work, and got him attacked a fair few times. After one of those attacks, he was saved by Luna, who had already found moderate success with her restaurant and offered him a job working there. They soon fell in love, transforming the place into something far more spectacular, and even had a daughter—Lucia!

The good times lasted years, but eventually ended with tragedy as Luna, afflicted by a rare illness, passed away. Without her, Lucky mentally collapsed, tearing the building apart and building animatronic bunnies to resemble her. During this time Lucia ran away, and Lucky’s Home of Clownfoolery fell from grace, reduced from a fun house to a fuck house, but Lucky scarcely noticed. His psyche…it was broken.

The place was eventually destroyed by Griswold, and it’s said that as the explosion occurred, flames wrapping around Lucky’s skin, he clung to the animatronic bunny and smiled, knowing he’d finally get to see his true love again soon.
