As a current 10 year bank teller in Missouri I can say that everything Ahsohn said is the same. There’s a lot of ways it could have been avoided (him going directly to a private office at the bank) but the combo of racism and young underpaid tellers afraid of losing their jobs makes incidents like this way more common than you would think. Also, because he drew out more than 10000.00 in cash they had to file a Currency Transaction Report where he would have had to tell the staff his occupation and what he was using the funds for! (This is used to combat money laundering, or at least that’s what they tell everyone in training) Love the show! A Sherm line on Grand Crew made me choke on a piece of hotdog! DM to Venmo for emotional damage restitution!

For the tellers out there: During the video it sounds like he provided his ID and a pin code for his account. When he was talking with the cops outside it seems like those were his main 2 gripes with the situation. It may/may not have been a business account, too, since he said he was paying his staff with the money. Those particulars along with the woman saying something like “good job, officer” would put me in a bad mental state, too. Is it within the compliance policies to alert the police after he verified his identity twice?
