Sly (Patreon)

Some of you may have noticed that you haven’t seen a great deal of Sly recently. 

In so many ways, not a one of us can believe that we are having to make this post, but, Sly passed away unexpectedly a little while ago; and, truthfully, we aren’t dealing with it very well. 

Sly was a best friend to so many of us here, and human and animal alike are still hurting deeply from his loss. 

We will announce this publicly in the coming days, we ask you to please not say anything outside of Patreon, it should come from us, not least because one of the real kickers of this entire nightmare is that the vet we entrusted Sly's remains to has lost him and there is little to no chance we will ever get him back. To say we are angry, devastated and reliving his loss all over again doesn’t come close to covering how we are all feeling. 

It is never, ever easy to lose any animal in our care, but there are some who just hit a little differently. To Mikayla and Ethan, Sly was their son; always welcome and wanted for a sleepover. To Ianto and I, he was a best friend, always down for play time and mischief. To our volunteers, he was the first fox they bonded with; and, to Fergie, Sly was the thing that went bump in the night. 

Please take time today to think of Sly, to pray for a miracle and if you can, spare all of us a thought too.
