Milo and Malachi (Patreon)

We always do our best to share behind-the-scenes footage with you all here on Patreon, and this video we are going to give you today is no exception.

Right from the off we all know that Malachi has struggled to make friends with other foxes here at the rescue; and him and Milo are no exception. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, just like with 95% of the other foxes here, they have not got on. In fact they really, really hate each other.

Being that that is the case, we have taken extra precautions to ensure that no one can get hurt – so for example, we’ve increased the bite guard heights and lengths, and added additional dig guard to both sets of enclosures. Normally, Milo and Malachi tend to ignore or avoid each other during the day but last night, like with several other nights, when it’s come time for raw and bed time, they have decided to try and fight one another through the enclosure fence.

Neither of them were hurt and Mikayla was able to scoop Malachi up and carry him into his enclosure with Skeeter, where he calmed down.
