Winter and Franny play (Patreon)

We always say that female foxes never get on; that it’s a rule with very few exceptions. The exceptions come when females are either under a year old, or when they have come from a fur farm and are too scared of their surroundings with no dominant female present to fight amongst themselves.

When Winter decided that she was going to call the arctic yard home, we hoped it would all work out; after all, Lumi, Esmae and Franny are all females and all get along.

When Winter first joined the yard, Esmae wasn’t happy and neither was Franny, but Winter wasn’t giving up that easily and she persisted, and just like when Franny joined the arctic yard, Winter is home and Franny is her best friend - they snuggle together every night - they’re a bonded pair now and it’s so wonderful to see a yard, which is predominantly female, get on so well with each other.
