I’d like to introduce you to our new cat surrender, Luna! She is about seven years old and was diagnosed with FIV last year. She had stopped eating, lost weight and was showing signs of discomfort within her mouth. After taking her to our vet we discovered some great news and some bad news. The great news is that she is actually FIV negative (tested twice)!! The bad news is that she has stomatitis, which explains everything she’s experiencing. We’ve started her on steroids and she is eating for us, so we are making progress. So far she’s adjusting very well with us and is a complete love kitty!! She is at SAF South

I'm glad she's feeling better.

My rescue had it too, what worked was the vet pulled her teeth. Sounds awful I know but it worked, and she is now free of the condition. And is fat and happy. Expensive but worth it. But it was only a chance in some cases. But she was in pain from birth, so we went for it. ❤️
