Yay, being Dutch wins :P Also, have a great night and thank you!

Film Vagabond

Ivan's story sounds like it inspired The man with the iron mask

No, that was a different real historic figure - Mysterious prisoner in Louis XIV's France (Though arrested a few years prior to XIV ascending to the throne), held for three and a half decades, I think? Who he was and why he was imprisoned is one of the unsolved historic mysteries, I believe (Might actually be fun to see Extra History tackle that sort of thing; not necessarily that mystery, but one of them - maybe each episode covering a different hypothesis, the evidence for and against, etc?)

Powerful women never catch a break, even centuries after their death.

You did a tie in with the paper money episode but not with the Simon Bolivar Episode? As one of Simon Bolivars allies early on, the famous Francisco de Miranda pissed off the Spanish crown by hiding out in Russia and Catherine trolled the Spanish by preventing the spanish from arresting him and even made him part of the Russian diplomatic mission to London at one point. I think he was also made a russian noble(again to troll the spanish). Also he was rumored to have an affair with her(though this was likely false)

I just thought of this. Australia is now a playable nation in Civ 6. I wonder if Firaxis will make Ned Kelly one of Australia's rulers in the future.

I loved the Walpole connection here! I'm still chuckling at the thought of his art collection being in Russia :D

I think William Charles Wentworth might be a better candidate for a ruler of Australia in Civ games.

The tie-in was just a random thing that amused James. Not every series gets the Walpole treatment. ;)

I've literally been waiting for several series to use this one. I stumbled across it while researching something else and was like "If we ever do Catherine the Great..." and now MY MOMENT HAS COME!

Thanks for the extra extra details, people. :)
