Just a follow up on that game, Scythe, I accidentally recommended during the stream - most reckon it's strongest at 4, but it absolutely works at the entire 1-5 player count, takes around 25 minutes per player when not soloing it(and about an hour when soloing it), was based on Jakub Rozalski's 1920+ universe, which in turn is an alternate universe loosely based on the soviet-Polish war which ran 1919-1921, it's about 80% Euro but has some conflict in there (Though despite marching these giant mechs around the game has more threat of conflict than actual conflict - a cold war that occasionally turns hot, essentially), and is somewhat asymmetric - each of the five (7 with expansion) factions have a different special ability, along with a different set of mech abilities that they gain during the game, on top of which each of the five (7 with expansion) player mats have a different layout and action costs. I think there's a video game in development licensing the same world from the artist, called Iron Harvest.
