The Paraguayan War could definately be its own entire series. By some estimates, it was the most deadly war of the modern era on a per-capita basis

The News of the Execution of an Anointed Monarch by his Own Subjects sends Shockwaves throughout Europe. He will be Remembered by Future Historians in a Sympathetic Light, his Death as Unnecessary and Contributing to a Radicalisation of Revolutionary Violence and to a Greater Divisiveness among Romans. 1795 In the United States, Eli Whitney Jr. Applies for a Patent for the Cotton Gin. Although the Patent is Granted, it will not become Valid until 1807. 1799 In the Kingdom of Portugal, Prince John VI Officially Assumes the Reins of Government as Prince Regent in the Name of his Mother. 1808 7th March In the Kingdom of Portugal, the Portuguese Royal Court Arrives in Rio de Janeiro, to an Enthusiastic Reception from the Local Population. They are Pumped. Thus, it is a little Awkward when they Discover that the Portraits have, somewhat Generously, Portrayed them as more Attractive than they really are, but that the Voyage has left them very much Worse for Wear. Upon setting Foot in Rio, Prince John VI of is said to have liked Rio [which is only a Couple of Centuries old at this Point and still looks like a Frontier Town] so much he will be said to have Remarked: “I have among my Domains the Earthly Paradise that my Ancestors Sought so Eagerly to find.” 1811 In the Second Roman Empire, a British Provocateur, Alejandro Gallardo, is Ordered by George III of Great to Infiltrate the Roman of Badajoz, of Badajoz, and begins to Convert the Population to Political . The Revolutionaries Demand the Immediate Return of the Royal Family to Lisbon in Order to “Restore the Metropolitan Dignity.” The Revolutionaries also Seek to Restore Portuguese Exclusivity in the Trade with Brazil, Reverting Brazil to the Status of a Colony, Officially to be Reduced to a “Principality of Brazil” rather than the “Kingdom of Brazil” which it has been for Five Years. 1822 9th January In the United Kingdoms of Portugal, Brazil, and The Algarves, Despite having been Ordered by the Portuguese Cortés to Return to Portugal, Prince Pedro I Announces his Intent to Remain in Brazil, thus starting the Process of Brazilian Independence. 12th October In the United Kingdoms of Portugal, Brazil, and The Algarves, Pedro, Crown Prince of Portugal, is Acclaimed as the First Constitutional Emperor of Brazil on his 24th Birthday, which Coincides with the Inauguration of the Empire of Brazil.
