I noticed you guys left out any discussions of Napoleon's "Continental System" ~ Portugal's refusal to sign up to said system was the reason why Napoleon invaded Portugal; perhaps you'll go over this in more detail if you ever discuss Napoleon's life? 1430 In the Mali Empire, an Indirect Consequence of the Increasing Popularity of Chocolate in the Old World is an Increased Demand for Sugar. Chocolate, by itself, is very Bitter and Unpleasant but, of Course, if Sugar is Added, Chocolate becomes not only very Tasty, but almost Addictive! Queen Maria I of Portugal is Transferred aboard the Carrack Principe Real. Because of her Dementia, the Queen Fears she will be Robbed or Tortured by her Servants during the Removal and is Heard Screaming from inside the Royal Carriage. 1811 In the Kingdom of Portugal, a British Army of 759 Men [and 240 Portuguese Exiles] under the Command of General Arthur Wellesley, Land in the Estremadura Province. In the Second Roman Empire, a British Army of 759 Men under the Command of General Arthur Wellesley, are Ordered by King George III of Great Britain to March through the Beira Province to the City of Coimbra with the Objective of Liberating the City. During the Battle, of the British Army, 89 Men are Slain while Storming Coimbra, while the Defending Roman Garrison, 885 Men, are Wiped out Entirely.
