WE CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT IT

We've been sitting on this one for a while now and it's been SO hard not to spill the beans, but now it's right around the corner.

Introducing: So You Haven't Read, our new extra Literature series. We'll be covering a wide range of classics, analyzing what they’re all about and, more importantly, discussing why they're still worth reading for yourself today.

So You Haven’t Read will be publicly launching on Wednesday 10/6 ( 10/5 for you all ;) ) at 10:30 PT and alternate with Extra Credits episodes each week.

Hang on a minute, isn't that Extra Mythology's timeslot?

Yes it is. So what is going to happen with Extra Mythology? With EM lead writer Jac's departure to help out at the CDC, we had a lot of discussions about what we wanted to do with Extra Mythology.

Ultimately we're still a small team. While in an ideal world, we'd have enough time and resources to run every show we've ever wanted to do, we've found that three shows is where we're comfortable without burning the candle at twelve ends. So did we want to search for a new mythology writer, or use this as a chance to try something new? Given that we've been talking about Extra Lit for years, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to give it a shot.

Meanwhile, Extra Mythology is going to be taking a well-needed rest for the time being. And we are hoping you’ll join us as we transition from our campfire to our new cozy coffee shop designed by our artist also making the series switch, Jordan Martin.

So You Haven't Read's first season has 11 episodes currently slated and as we get closer to the end of that run sometime in February, we’ll keep you posted on our plans. Like every good experiment, we're going to be keeping a close eye on our new show's reception, how much y'all enjoy it, and taking a look at any feedback you guys might have.

We're hoping you'll love it as much as we've loved making it & we can't wait to show you what we've all been working so hard on.

All of the content you guys make is amazing! While I'm sad to see mythology put aside, it's perfectly understandable, and I'm really excited to see what you have in store for this new literature series!
