Siege of Vienna - Charge of the Winged Hussars - Extra History - #3

Leopold knew it was time to get the Holy Roman Empire involved if he wanted to keep Vienna, but it wouldn't be as simple as asking for a favor. Charles of Lorraine and Sobieski of Poland would be the ones to lead the charge on the battlefield against the Janissaries. How long is this Series going to be?

Worth to note how versatile was hussars equipment. Apart form lances, and their famous sabers, they had 160cm swords for twinging, and 2 pistols. Basicly the only way to counter hussars, was a horde of tartare horse archers.

Great video

Polish hussars banners were red and white, not black and yellow

Why let a few winged hussars and a reinforcement squad get in the way of a good crusade?

As someone who was born & raised in Vienna: Great series! Ofc we learned much about the Siege during History class, but you guys filled the episodes with so much detail that I learned very much from those. Also a special thumbs up for the disclaimer at the very beginning - this is a political quite divisive topic, but you approached it with all the necessary caution.

Excellent Video! But there's a mistake. Not innocent 9 but Innocent 11.
