We are pleased to announce a special 6-episode series of "Extra History of England"!

When? Extra History of England will start in late May, after our two mini-series on the Siege of Vienna and Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba, but before we get to covering Joan of Arc. It is not an "extra-Extra History" series; it will be airing on Saturdays weekly at the usual time.

Why? About eighteen months ago, James heard one of his favorite podcasters say that he was making podcasting his full-time gig. We've wanted to help out literally ever since, but coordinating our schedules was almost comically difficult.

But now that Rob's brand-new miniature member of his family has arrived, we're sending him on some much needed paternity leave to bond with his daughter!

So now, please welcome: David Crowther from the always excellent History of England podcast. He's going to be reading for this series, so you get a sample of the dulcet and beautifully British tone of his voice. (Scott DeWitt did art for the first episode, and Nick DeWitt is the artist for the remaining 5 episodes.)

Does this affect the schedule of the topic surveys and voting polls? No, it will not. Because it is a 6-episode series being inserted into the schedule (no Lies episode planned at this time), it will effectively offset the rest of the Extra History schedule by around 6 weeks--but it will not replace any of the patron-chosen series, or affect the timing of when these particular Patreon rewards are delivered.

I just saw this and you probably need to make clear in the video why there is a narrator change again or there will be a ton of new questions about this change. Also while this series sounds great there has been a ton do English history in this channel already so you probably should avoid it as voting option for a while.
