Last episode of Sun Yat-sen! Next week is Lies and the music video!

In his writing years, Sun became more openly anti-colonial. Years of eliciting support from foreign powers had worn Sun down. He raged against the hypocrisy of governments like the United States, that praised democratic systems but supported the autocratic warlords. He upbraided Japan for emulating western colonialism rather than siding with other Asian nations. He called for cancelling all unequal treaties that foreign governments had imposed via military force. And those positions proved extremely popular with the young New Culture revolutionaries...

It is a shame that you missed his final teaching which inspires generations of Chinese, until even today: The work of the Revolution is not yet done. Let all our comrades strive on for its consummation. 革命尚未成功,同志仍需努力。

Was that Morris Cohen at the end there? I sincerely hope the part of foreign volunteers and such are mentioned in lies, because not only have they been airbrushed out of Chinese history (just watch the film 1911 to get that), but your audience might like to see that the struggle for Chinese liberation wasn't just a Chinese one. People all over the world thought an independent and free nation was a good thing, once upon a time.
