We recently launched Extra Credits EDU, a new group that curates educational games on Steam! Figuring some of you might be interested in that, we decided to share it here. Check out the video for more information, or you can visit the group directly here: Link: http://bit.ly/ExtraEDU

Many of those games are no further away than Steam, the most popular digital distribution source on the internet! We launched the Extra Credits EDU Steam Curators group to create a list of those games, along with a description of what school subjects they can be used for (history, physics, and many more). We're still expanding the list and would love to work with other educators to find more games! ***** To volunteer, please contact: tobias[at]extra-credits[dot]net *****

Mostly so you can walk around the buildings to see the lovely models in real time, I think.

Does it being a Steam group exclude you guys looking at tabletop games with educational value and potential classroom usage? Also, are you just looking for 'games that could be used for traditional educational usage' - e.g. can be used to teach geography, history, english, maths, art, etc - or are you including stuff that can be used to help teach transferable skills such as teamwork, research, public speaking, and the like?

If we want to submit a game that we use to teach how do we do that?

For the time being, because our "home" is the Steam group, I'm afraid it does exclude us from looking at tabletop games. But we'd like to see this project grow beyond that so we'll be able to talk about more games some day. And we are definitely open to including games that teach 21st century skills like teamwork and beyond! Email those to tobias[at]extra-credits[dot]net, we'd love to hear about them. :)

Email tobias[at]extra-credits[dot]net! We'd absolutely love to hear about them and we're going to be adding another wave of games to the list very soon.
