Wasn't Sweden considered pro- French inWest European affairs, so not sure how neutral aribter they'd be. France usually ally, Austria has been an enemy and so on.

The most obvious thing for Denmark really would be Margaret I and her attempt at unifying Scandinavia through dynastic fuckery and even writing a set of laws for a unified Scandinavia that was never fully ratified. Most of the mess with Denmark and Sweden comes out of this attempt.

You are correct! James misspoke. Think I answered you on YouTube as well, but yeah, James actually had us shade in Saxony on the map in Episode 1, so knows the correct place, but I guess he was tired. ;)
