8:05 wouldn't be out of place in a horror story

I really like these sponsored episodes, it's good to get extra focused stuff outside the normal series. The sinking of the Bismarck always seems like such a strange story to me, because if I remember right that's the one where the Germans scared the British away from taking POWs but then didn't rescue them?

sir Lancelot Holland R.I.P. my friend R.I.P !

I found Walpole part 1 Churchill is a descendant of the duke of Marlborough & SIR Lancelot Holland was a companion of the Order of the bath please bring this up in lies.

Thank you Wargaming! This is awesome.

You know, I am enjoying these episodes, but in light of recent events you may want to consider ending your partnership with wargaming. (see Jim Sterling's latest video)

They screwed up. I'm just learning about it now, but I'm not in a rush to condemn them since it appears to me that they already realized their mistake and have started to apologize for it (link: http://imgur.com/a/abFEe). Whether they will back that apology up with substantive action to make amends to their community and the specific creator they threatened, that remains to be seen. But speaking as another YouTuber who's worked with them, albeit with a different contact and a different department, I'm not planning to do anything so drastic as to break off what's been a really pleasant partnership without giving them a chance to make amends.

There are no Lies for sponsored series! Rob Rath (who wrote this series) is going to do a little Lies commment on episode 4 but I'm not sure a Walpole connection is planned.

Tommy Laukkanen

Yeah, I feel that. I forget sometimes that "may" and "consider" don't sound as subtle as they used to, but I really only meant it as "may" and "consider".

Great episode, however the Prinz Eugen wasn't the lead ship due the Germans defying conventions. In the previous episode when Bismarck fired her 380mm guns on those 2 cruisers, her main radar array was knocked out by her own muzzle blast. So Admiral Lutjens ordered the Prinz Eugen to take the lead since her radar was still functioning.

Such a noob move by Holland, the British clearly haven't been keeping up with the current meta. You don't use tier 7 BB with gimmicky AA rocket batteries against a tier 8 BB with OP turtleback armor layout and 10.6 km secondaries, with certain builds. Also, Holland forgot Rule 1 of WoWs: Never show your broadside to a battleship. Also with armor as flimsy as that, he should've equiped a detonation flag, which reduces detonation chance by 100%.

Something interesting popped up in the Swedish reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/sweden/comments/6c9vuj/idag_f%C3%B6r_76_%C3%A5r_sedan_den_20e_maj_1941_skickades/ a copy of the telegram sent to the Swedish marine chief about the Bismarcks whereabouts that was "accidentally" leaked to the britts

I've played so many MOBAs that this whole thing feels so familiar and so painful. ;D

Thanks for explaining that the British weren't just idiots, or cheap. It's a great example of a common thread in war, that countries have to go to war with the forces they have. Maybe during your next "Lies," you can look at the economics of constantly upgrading, to prepare for the next war. How was it easier for Germany, lately a financial wreck, to build a more modern navy? I know their navy was much smaller. What else, other than quality over quantity, and how did the British approach win out? Was the Royal navy the pack of smaller wolves that brought down the bull moose Bismarck??
