Hey all! I'm collaborating with Apple Tomorrow on a very special episode of Krazy Ken's Tech Talk.

In 1988, Apple started working on a turbo-charged fileserver Macintosh codenamed Columbo, however, the final product never came to be. In this new episode, I'll share the story of what lead up to Columbo, and what happened after its cancellation.

To help tell the story, I'm working with Apple Tomorrow because he can recreate the computer in 3D space! It's gonna be great!

On top of that, I found someone who happens to own one of the hard models from Apple's internal Columbo team. This is the only one I know of in existence. The owner is asking for heavy price tag for this unit (which is overvalued, but I'll let the auction house appraisers help him with that) so unfortunately I can't buy it and film it myself, and it's very far away from me, but I hired a small remote crew to take some video of it.

Between you and me, the crew did not do a suitable job in capturing the computer, but we got a couple of semi-decent shots out of it.

I'm aiming for an April 7 release date, but 3D computer rendering in 4K takes a loooong time, so hopefully we can stick to that deadline! I'll give you guys early access ASAP! In the meantime, enjoy some behind-the-scenes images, including some screenshots of the work-in-progress model inside Blender. 😄

What about the Johnathan concept? Also, how much money does the owner of the Colombo concept wants?

Anthony

This would’ve been an interesting computer, had it actually been released
