Hey all! I plan to attend Vintage Computer Festival Midwest (aka VCFMW) this year in Elmhurst, IL. As you might remember, I attended last time, and it was a blast! Other tech creators (e.g. The 8-Bit Guy, and LGR) have attended, too.

But last time, I went as an attendee. This year, I'm going as an exhibitor! I will host a booth where people can play with part of my rare-and-retro tech collection (including some prototypes!) I'm also handing out free Computer Clan PopSockets (more on that later in the post).

If all goes well, I'll also be speaking at a panel alongside fellow tech YouTube creators! It's going to be a fun time, and I'd love to see you there.

But of course, I expect most visitors to be people who have NEVER heard of the Computer Clan before. That's why I'm working on some good ol' grassroots marketing, complete with a booth banner, signage, business cards, PopSockets, and my own updated CONVERSION TECHNOLOGY shirt. (The old one has the old CC logo on it… don't want that to be floating around.)

The business cards have rounded corners! Steve Jobs would be proud.

My whole goal is to sell the Computer Clan brand / channel, and meet some awesome techies while doing it! I'll also do autographs!

Enjoy the sneak peek! Now, about the PopSockets…

I'm prototyping 4 designs. Soon (on Twitter) I'll launch a poll, and the design with the most votes will be manufactured. As you may know, manufacturing multiple SKUs is EXPENSIVE, so I only want to stick to one design for now—and it will exclusively be given away at the booth (I might do other online giveaways for them, too, or offer them as a Patreon perk—that's to be determined.)

Why PopSockets? Answer: EVERYONE has a phone, and the PopSocket design is universal and timeless. Even when phones change, PopSockets are still compatible! Also, can you imagine how many phone backs people see on a daily basis?? *whispers* It's free real estate.

More to come. Thanks for your support, and stay tuned…
