I bought a cheap Macintosh IIvx a few months ago. It was the last Macintosh II model, and the first Macintosh with a built-in CD-ROM drive! I thought this would be fun! But wow… this ended up being the dirtiest, rustiest Macintosh I've ever purchased.

Ultimately, I could not get the Macintosh to power on, so I looked inside the power supply. It looks like a Pompei volcanic ash scene or something…

Here's the weird thing… during the episode, I contacted the owner. He said it was WORKING before he sold it to me. So now we're in full-on "detective mode".

If anyone has suggestions to get this thing working, let me know! Perhaps your advice can pave the future for the episode… or for "part 2".
