I agree that the alien structural designs are great. I dunno about Zeta Gundam, but red-head Iczer 2 was the same voice actress as short-lived Amuro's-first-crush red-head supply officer Matilda from the original Mobile Suit Gundam. I think your retro anime reviews are the greatest service your channel provides (and a lot of fun too). My reaction to Iczer One is a bit odd, as it was perhaps the fourth anime I ever saw (first was Robotech, second was Gundam original series, third was Dirty Pair), so that kind of warped things for me... The highlights of this episode were the continued horror elements blended in with the action, the great combat with Iczer 1 in the extradimensional space, and the characterization of the "enemy" side. I ended up loving the designs - especially Iczer 1 and the sexy but creepy Iczer 2 (with her slightly sergio leon into music) - so much I tracked down the original Japanese B-Club art books with the production drawings and stills. (I bought the originals at a con, the other at a Japanese book store, but you can find scans of these online by searching for "Iczer 1" and "internet archive"). I agree Symphogear is in many ways a spiritual successor; I discovered that show through your site, and I love it partly because it reminded me of Iczer...
