I actually really loved the Manga many years back and was excited to see an anime airing. You said it right though, the anime is about as Mid as it can be, and was kind of a disappointment. Although Carol is still the best, in any anime or manga form... if you keep watching it, you'll see.

Rie Takahashi and Rina Hidaka are AWESOME as Tomo and Misuzu respectively. This show has been really freaking fun from the jump!

Yeah Carol is definitely the best part of the show. Her VA is amazing and her antics are top notch. Hopefully Teeaboo will keep watching for few more episodes at least.

Honestly, this show is better than it appears at first glance. Really fun, and not only in first couple of episodes, with some pretty interesting interaction between characters

Glad he watched Tomo, but I don't think it is his cup of tee. Tee likes things that are visually or storyline unusual and Tomochan isn't that. But it is fun and relaxing story. I read the manga and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the anime as well, but I don't think Tee will like it.

Nothing bad about this but it bored me around episode 6 or so. It's just... like a decade late to the high school rom-com craze i had ~10 years ago.

Translating punchy yonkoma to 20 minute episodes ain't easy and they definitely removed all of the snappy pacing for the sake of something "normal" which in this case means bland.

I really wanted to get in to this but I keep losing interest. Not a bad anime but not all that good either

In my opinion the best show of the season because of consistency. Yeah, it's a romcom with mostly all the clichés of the genre, but the characters charisma are amazing and the voice acting is superb.
