both OVA's are canon to the story if you didn't know, they happened in the novels but didn't have a place in the main anime

You mentioned the "rewatchability" at the end and I feel like I HAVE to say this... For you, who hasn't seen whats to come yet, this felt a lot like just good times. But, for those who have watched further and also read the novels, the AMOUNT OF FORESHADOWING, is INSANEEEE. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this has AT LEAST 10 foreshadowings for future events. That being said, rewatching this in the future is very rewarding because you will be able to notice some of those! But hey, thats true for the entirety of ReZero. Due to the time-loop and how we obtain information little by little, rewatching with full context is highly valuable, you will be able to see the little hints here and there.
